Amazon.co.uk Review INo Doubt: The Videos 1992-2003/I is a neat showcase of the band's transformation (both musically and in image) spanning more than a decade. Behind-the-scenes footage of photo and video shoots and studio sessions recorded on hand-held DV cams by band members are interspersed between the 16 videos in this collection. Videos range from their first-ever shoot for 1992's quirky "Trapped in a Box", in which Gwen had yet to discover the power of platinum blonde, the storming "Hella Good" cowritten by the Neptunes, and their cover of the Talk Talk hit "It's My Life". Something to watch out for is an impromptu jam of "Ex-girlfriend" during a power cut in Jamaica. p When it comes to reinvention and experimenting with style, forget Kylie--Gwen Stefani has certainly had fun carving out her own niche, while retaining her credibility; from the pink hair and street chic in her IReturn of Saturn/I phase to the platinum-blonde, rouge-lipped 1940s glamour that was her trademark on ITragic Kingdom/I. Although they may have taken some musical risks ("Oi to the World"?) their core rock, new wave pop and reggae-lite influences have weaved seamlessly through their work. 2001's IRock Steady/I is a fine example, heavily influenced by time spent in Jamaican dance halls and with contributions from a range of respected producers (Ric Ocasek, Nellee Hooper, Sly Robbie and William Orbit). Not to mention No Doubt's successful cameos on Moby's "South Side" and Eve's "Let Me Blow Ya Mind". p What becomes apparent from watching "A Video Conversation with No Doubt"--one of the bonus features--is the band's sense of team spirit and un-showbiz attitudes, which is probably why they have lasted the course. But their success is not without glitches--there were early group factions when media interest focused on the impossibly photogenic Gwen and ignored fellow bandmates Tony Kanal (bass), Tom Dumont (guitar) and Adrian Young (drums). p BOn the DVD/B: Bonus features include "A Video Conversation with No Doubt" where the band members talk about the inspiration behind each video, the full collection of Behind-the-Scenes Vignettes, an alternate edit of "Bathwater" and alternate video edit of "Don't Speak".--IAngela Boodoo/I

I am a fan of No Doubt anyway toyed with the idea of buying this DVD for a while. I wasn#x27;t disapointed. brIt has all the classic videos such as Underneath It All, Ex-Girlfrind, Just A Girl, Don#x27;t Speak their first video Trapped In A Box, to name but a few. I haven#x27;t stopped watching it, it#x27;s great to watch all the way through or to even put on in the back ground to bop away to while doing your housework. The tracks are well placed I find them easy to watch, you don#x27;t have to jump too many to find what you want (I mean they are all great). brAlso in the features there is a small documentry from the group about each of the songs what inspired them to write them etc. It isn#x27;t too long so well worth a watch.brHope you enjoy, I loved it.
Another great dvd from No Doubt January 3, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this with Rock Steady Live, expecting to enjoy the latter a lot more. However, I can safely say that this is just as good. The videos themselves quickly become boring if watched too many times, but the extras are great. #x27;A video conversation with no doubt#x27; is a great way to watch how they have changed over the years, and also to see the ideas behind the finished videos. The behind the scenes vignettes are also really good, showing recording of songs, videos and some backstage clips from tours. One of my favourite extras however, is the Invincible Overlord remix of Bathwater. I actually enjoyed this far more than the original song! There is also an alternate video for #x27;Don#x27;t Speak#x27;.pAs with the Rock Steady Live DVD (another one you must buy) there is a hidden extra. You can get to this by going to #x27;bonus features - behind the scenes vignettes#x27; and pressing the left button on the remote. The crown in the top left hand corner of the screen will light up, and if you select this you get a short video of Gwen cutting the guy#x27;s hair from the pre Tragic Kindom days.pI would definitely recommend this DVD to all No Doubt fans!
no doubt: the video's May 28, 2004 well worth your $$$ even though they had it in the boom box edition, this has alot more features so it wont feel like their ripppig you of. the special features are awesome, it goes all the way back into the days when Eric was in the group. i definetly reccomend it!!!
