For all the geeks and losers (over eighteen) August 3, 2005 dude (England) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
Heathers is a film about cliques and physcos and perfects the style of extreme teen film. The story begins by watching how the evil clique of 3 girls all called Heather control and hurt the population of Westerburg High.brVeronica Sawer is a special member of this group of girls and is hating every second. But a new guy who goes by the name of JD is willing and ready to make Veronica free of this clique.brHe has a way with words, women and guns. And uses his very unique talents to rid not only Veronica but the world of the warth of the Heathers. brThe film uses lots of levels to potray high school in a way that just blows you away. It's very very!!!brHeathers has an impressive tone tha goes from bright to dark in seconds and has a funny and vibrant script that uses dark and sick ideas to create a masterpiece.brA must-see film that will knock you out in more was than one no matter how many times you watch it!!!! Say greetings and salutations to the best teen film in the history of cinema!!!

After hearing rave reviews about this film I decided to get myself a copy. Its always been mentioned in the list of great 80's teen movies so being a fan of those films I decided to see what all the fuss was about. This is definitely one of the best of the genre and blows all the rest away (literally!).After watching it I was completely hooked because everything in it is brilliant from the acting to the dark humour. No other film that I have seen has dealt with such controversial yet real issues (teen suicide) but yet manage to stay so damn funny and not cross the line into bad taste. What else can I say about this film its edgy, funny, satirical, great to watch and never looses interest. However not for everyone as you need to have a slightly twisted and dark sense of humour to really understand it.Great 80's movie!
Excellent December 28, 2007 Sam P 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Heathers is one of the greatest teen comedies of all time, if not the greatest. It takes a satirical poke at all other teen comedies (John Hughes in particular) by looking at all the sterotyped characters that we've come to know and love (or despise). Then JD and Veronica (Slater and Ryder) start killing off all of the cliched characters and forging suicide notes for them.
br /The dialogue is snappy and incredibly witty. Although some of the fashions now look a bit dated, this is the teen comedy by which all others should be judged.
br /A classic.

one of slaters best films. a dark comedy that leaves you shocked and wanting more. this film is near impossible to compare to any others, the best i can do is say it's the breakfast club but with murder.
very funny September 15, 2006 John 13 (Britain) 7 out of 13 found this review helpful
Im biased because this is my favourite film. I was nerdy in school and the popular kids seemed so free and happy and i longed to be included. Then i saw this, it completely explodes the myth about popularity. The charachters are in competition with each other and are not really friends. They are forced into difficult situations like sleeping with older boys to maintain their image of sophistication and maturity. They bully each other far more than they bully the nerdy charachters.
br /I had absolutely no idea that this was what their lives were really like. This film made me look more closely into the lives of the popular girls and i found out that this film is an accurate portrayal of high status teens. In fact, its a milder version of what really goes on.
br /obviously, nobody is really that witty and killing is rare, but if you were bullied in school and feel like an eternal victim this may change your perspective like it did mine. I now think that being an outsider, rather than being a curse, was a lucky escape.
