| Customer Reviews: Footballers' Wives - The Complete Series 3 March 27, 2005 12 out of 13 found this review helpful
In this series, we start off with a trip to Thailand and Chardonnay's funeral. The funeral was sad but Thailand, like the rest of the series, hilarious. Tanya continued to wow us with her fantastic behaviour (and nails!), as did the rest of the cast - I was completely addicted to the series. If you like fun, glamourous and totally captivating t.v, this is for you! A must-have for all fans of the show. x
TV at its best! May 1, 2005 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
Alot of people say that Season Three has'nt been as good as the first two. -I think they must be wrong... Season three is alot better than the first season, and nearley as good as the second: it starts off with The late Chardonnay's funeral- at which Superbitch tanya turner goes over her perfectley penned speech (probably would have got it off the internet...) to the distrought crowd.brIn true footballers wives style, she (tanya) then marries the chairman of the club (Frank Laslett) which seems odd considering in the first season she and her hesband (the late Jason Turner) tried to kill him. Anyway, frank and tanya head off to thailand to sign new team captain :Conrad Gates. Conrad and his wife amber are in financial debt to the Chineese mafia... 3million pounds in debt to be exact- so a large transfer fee would come in nicley...brKyle Pasco is still distressed over the death of Chardonnay, but finds solace in his personal trainer, Elaine. brI wont go over every detail of what happens, as i dont want to ruin it for those of you who havent seen it, but this season has everything, from Backstabbing to Gambling, to Domestic Violence, Fights, and Voodoo- this is essential viewing. pThe DVD also includes the fight between Tanya Laslett, and Amber Gates in the players lounge, and the infamous steamy sex scene between Tanya Laslett and Conrad Gates-pThis is TV at its very best and is the backbone of any DVD collection for any Drama fan!

sexy rich and powerfull, the footballers wives is a compelling series that has you reaching for the remote and clicking the next episode, if you havent watched footballers wives before i would recommend watching teh first series first as it does follow on and can be confussing to peopel not familiar to the story, great for girly nights in in front of the tv, funny, shocking, sexy and thought provoking enjoy.
you just got to love tanya April 14, 2005 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
The reason i'm giving this 4 and not 5 stars is that even the most obssest fan has to admit that series 1 and 2 are far better.brZoe Lucker as Tanya is still hillarious with her bitchy attidude and long nails, Hazel is still in it and that I'm greatful to cus Alison Newman is fantastic, Shannon is quite sad wich is fun to watch lol but the new wife Amber is just annoying and so is her husband.brThere is one thing that I think would have made it as good as the previous and that is if Jason hadent died, he and Tanya has got the be te most wicked couple on Telly!!!
This season deserves a Red Card. March 28, 2005 8 out of 20 found this review helpful
As a fan of the first two seasons of Footballers' Wives (so bad it's good), I was looking forward to getting the 3rd season. I couldn't have been more disappointed. There must have been difficult contract negotiations for Season 3, as the majority of the actors (and unfinished plotlines) that appeared in prior seasons have simply disappeared. Their disappearances are lamely dismissed in one line of dialogue. The new characters - a Beckham wannabe and his Bollywood wife - are just not believable as a couple. The plotlines go from bad to worse and even Tanya Turner can't ressurrect the lousy, over the top script. Footballers' Wives was always trash television at it's best, but when the final whistle blows on this series the fans will be left very disappointed.
