| Customer Reviews: A gem of a film February 6, 2006 Mr. M. F. Smart (UK) 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
Don#x27;t be put off by the budget price and the terrible photoshop cover. If Lucy Fell is a firm favourite of mine, and one of the few romantic comedies that I can actually stomach - probably because the comedy outweighs the romance by a heavy majority. Eric Schaeffer is a lesser known, but even more talented version of the little known actor/director/writer Edward Burns, specialising in his own oddball indie films, indispersed with more mainstream acting gigs which probably pay the rent, but still keep his head below the radar. If Lucy Fell feels pointedly mainstream compared to his debut, "My Life#x27;s In Turnaround", with recognisable faces and a *slightly* slushy undertone. However, the writing is sharp and the performances are great. It#x27;s also got a top soundtrack by US rockster "Marry Me Jane". A real gem of a movie, definitely recommended.
let down by some poor dialogue and a poor script July 29, 2006 dan the fan (england,uk) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
If Lucy Fell would I care? Well, yes, because in this film,as in others I've seen her in,Sarah Jessica Parker does a good job at getting the viewer to like her character.Ben Stiller did a good job as a wacky painter and made me laugh.Elle Macpherson
br /made an alluring sexual fantasy and played her part convincingly,
br /but I couldn't help thinking throughout the film that Eric Schaeffer didn't belong in it.All the worst dialogue in the movie seemed to take place when he was in view!I think that If Lucy Fell would also have been better if Sarah Jessica Parker's on-screen father had been given a bigger part. For me,this was a movie that was almost good, but not quiet.
