5 out of 5 stars Give it a chance,..   June 28, 2005

Many of my friends who used to watch 'FRIENDS' (the series) have quickly taken to the new sitcom 'JOEY' with a negative attitude.pThe first few episodes are weak and sure it's not as good as 'FRIENDS' but there are some classic comedy moments in there and some great episodes later on. It is a comedy so be more open minded, try to enjoy it!pAs a big 'FRIENDS' fan I do love the connections between the two shows and the few references but on a whole I just love 'JOEY' for what it is; a cool, easy-going comedy series.pInfact one of my friends who had always hated all the 'FRIENDS' series has really enjoyed the 'JOEY' coverage on t.v. I'm hoping to get him watching friends in no time, even if we do watch from series 10 back to 1.pMy personal favourite character is Michael, Joey has all the great one liners but Michael as a character is very funny to watch and very easy to love, I can't wait for the second series!pIf you liked friends I really do hope you give this a good chance and you should love it. If you're a fan of any American sitcoms then you should definately try it out.

5 out of 5 stars Amazing Series   August 9, 2005

As a very big friends fan with every DVD and epidosde sitting in my video rack, I had high expectations of Joey. The first two episodes are a little weak, but I laughed so much at some of the episodes. Favorite lines are :br"Ill boil my face later" --- how can you not love that??!br"ohhh Michael, he's the best one" ----Love Bobby!pSeriously though, the show is great. It did have a few growing pains, but then if we're continuing comparing it to friends, I didn't find the first four episodes of friends very funny at all. Its all about the writers leanring the characters, and the actors learning to bounce off each other. At the end of this series, they are.pThe show is on 5, which is shockingly poor; but at least we have it over here! Its popular in America too, so it's not going anywhere for a few seasons at least.pMy advice of a fan of comedy and not friends in particular is to buy and enjoy. I promise you'll have some real belly-laughs, and in this world, that in itself is priceless.

5 out of 5 stars JUST AS GREAT   March 8, 2006

I don#x27;t understand people who loved Friends and who thinks this is crappy! Joey is not as good ok, first because Kofman (may sjhe rests in peace-there might be a mispelling, sorry) and Crane are no longer writting the series and second he is no longer in New York, the new characters are good, especially Jennifer Coolidge, she might be seen as the new Chandler, the sister is awfully crazy thus hilarious, the virgin nephew is as pathetic as needed (and Ross-Geller-shaped!!!) the neighbour is what Joey needs to keep his feet on the ground... The plots are good and the series is hilarious (remember the fax incident or the Henry V monologue just before the farwest music!!!!!) This is too good to be rejected. I am a Friends fanatic but I love the show even if what remains of the fab-six are just Joey memories and the Chandler picture on the piece of furniture near the entrance door...Give Joey a chance you will laugh out loud funny...

At times it hasnt been the best but I was a massive friends fan and I had to see Joey. It deserved better ratings that it managed to get but this is a great series with a lot of strong episodes. And I cant wait for series 2.

I think joey rocks, all of the episodes are hilarious! It well worth the money. I would like to give 10 stars out of 5 but that isn#x27;t exactly possible. Friends is great too and it is sad that it is finished. This carries on with Joey though, which is well cool! I love it!
