| Customer Reviews: Superb film...nice extras but print could have been better April 25, 2007 P. D. gray (Tyne and Wear, England) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Great film this and one to prove that William Shatner really CAN act as he portrays a racist bigot who visits a small town in a bid to stir up tensions regarding integration in schools. He plays a real nasty character in this and very convincingly all dressed in white but a coward at heart, surely Roger Cormans most personal film and apparently one of the few (only one?) that lost money.

br /Becoming quite a scarce dvd this one, the print of the film used is a bit scratchy and worn in places (couple of noticable jumps) but its the only dvd available and on the whole is very good. There is a sit down, face to face chat (rather a lengthy one) between Shatner and Corman about this film and their involvment...fascinating stuff and a great extra for fans of this film.

br /Recommend this DVD highly, a rather neglected film....a must for Shatner and Corman fans.
surprising little gem. July 3, 2009 ciaran moore (omagh N IRELAND) recently purchased the intruder after watching william shatner in the first series of star trek, and was pleasantly surprised.I have always enjoyed roger corman movies but to see him handling such an important issue as racism was certainly eye opening. The movie starts with shatners character coming into a small southern american town an immediately endearing himself to the locals by supporting their views on the soon to start integration of the local high school. His scheming to whip up mob mentality does not go to plan, and we reach a very interesting ending. The stax entertainment dvd as shown in the graphics has a 30 minute conversation between william shatner and roger corman reminiscing about the shooting of the movie and is quite entertaining.A very good purchase that i got at a very reasonable price.
