Customer Reviews: Showing reviews 1-5 of 6 1 2 Next » An excellent and fascinating DVD, a must buy for Buffy fans October 23, 2005 7 out of 7 found this review helpful I bought my copy from a high street retailer and would firstly like to confirm that despite what the previous reviewer says all the episodes of this series are on this dvd. This is an excellently produced and presented collection of five investigations into the belief of five famous 'movie monsters':Vampires,Demons,Werewolves,Witches and Zombies, and reveals the historical roots and modern day practices related to them. Anthony Stewart Head of Buffy fame travels to many different countries to gather information about where the recorded existence of these beings originates. Each epsiode begins with a reference to a recent news story that involves the belief in question, this propels Anthony into further research, then the news story is referred back to at the end. There are very graphic reconstructions and clips of modern day rituals which are unsuitable viewing for young or particularly sensitive viewers. I found this dvd fascinating to watch, I think the most scary episode was the Zombies one, mostly because of the danger Anthony and the film crew had to go through to make the episode.brAlso included on this dvd is a 55 minute interview with Anthony and it asks him about his experience making this programme, I found this to be very amusing and enjoyable to watch but I would advise that you should definately watch this last as it could shatter some illusions and affect your enjoyment of the rest of the dvd. Overall though I think this is a definate must buy for anyone interested in this topic and especially Buffy fans. September 27, 2009 Mw Brinkman (Netherlands) very interesting series; these episodes are not about people who 'think' they are zombies or vampires, but about the actual truth behind the legends. for instance, in Haïti zombies are 'made' using a nerve poison; victims suffer braindamage and therefor resemble zombies.
