A mostly fabulous last season!!! July 22, 2006 Iceni Peasant (Norfolk, England) 19 out of 23 found this review helpful
Unlike Season 6, which at times was a bit up and down and didn't seem to have any clear master plan; Season 7 had some real direction right from the first few episodes. All the potential slayers staying with Buffy, Willow dealing with her magic problems, the loss of Tara and moving on, Spike having a soul, Anya and Xander still ruffling each others feathers, Giles being more forceful and serious than ever, Faith back on the right side but still with her classic attitude, the addition of the son of a former slayer....the list goes on.

br /The "big bad" really is something to behold. "The First" offered so many fascinating story twists, appearing to people in various guises and allowing the viewer to see what was really going on inside the characters, and at the same time not exactly knowing how on earth Buffy and the gang could do anything about it.
br /Nathan Fillon as the creepy preacher guy Caleb, vessel of the First, was superb....he so provoked the viewer to hate him!!
br /
br /The inclusion of Andrew as the only "trio" member left was obviously the comic relief character for the series, and although very irritating in the beginning, he becomes quite watchable.
br /When first viewing this series on TV, some of the episodes seemed to be just fill-ins until the storyline could move on, so it felt like it wasn't going anywhere. But watching the episodes close together as a whole on DVD, it all made sense and doesn't feel so frustrating.

br /The final episode is pure joy....and sadness. Amazing action and an excellent music score to express it. Every character played their part. Ultimately it's very sad....this is really the end of Buffy. What a way to go out though!

br /This DVD set has the usual good special features. Interesting commentaries, a couple of featurettes on the fandom of Buffy, and some outtakes...although again the outtakes only last 3 minutes and are a bit disappointing.
br /All in all, a superb and fitting finale season to Buffy!
Love it! You're gonna cry! September 14, 2006 Ms. S. E. George (Wiltshire, UK) 6 out of 10 found this review helpful
This series is that best by far, you are sooo going to love it! The final series, it ends with a bang (and a half!), going in a direction that is totally unexpected! Snappy plot lines and new characters, along with apprearances from some old favourites, make this last ever series of Buffy the very best. Watch it, love it, you know you want to!
watch you wont regret it June 4, 2006 Kevin West 5 out of 9 found this review helpful
this is probally the best season out of the seven the reasons are that you have got so many classic demonds in this season from season 1-6 from the master drusila adam the mayor you have a guest apperances from eliza dushku who plays faith david boreanaz as angel you have the spike getting a soul. you have the rebirth of the new sunnydale highschool on the helmouth which is the big picture of this season youve got so many twists and turns in this season the last episode is a episode to remember buy this why its still at a cheap price there are great special fetures like the season 7 overview like i said buy this while you can!!!!!!
It's all over. July 20, 2006 L. Omelasz (Dundee, UK) 3 out of 6 found this review helpful
After a frankly rubbish 6th season, the show shines with brilliance again (sadly for the last time). OK, the middle of the season is a bit patchy and Episodes 19 and 20 are sadly just average (which is unfortunate cos episodes at that point should be amazing) but the last 2 definitely make up for it. The season contains some of the show's most funniest moments ever (Same Time, Same Place, Him, Storyteller) and also some of its darkest (Selfless, Sleeper, Dirty Girls). A lot of strong, brilliant episodes here, some of which are up there with my absolute faves (Selfess and of course, the finale). It's such a treat for long time fans and a double bonus for new fans. Watching Buffy for the first time all in a oner has to be brilliant. Thanks for the last 7 (ok the first five and this) years, Joss. It's been a blast.
Def The Best Series Around November 18, 2006 Rossy Clarkson (England) 5 out of 11 found this review helpful
Wow! Couldn't believe this series! How many shocks and twists? Def the best series of buffy around. Joss has proved that after the lame season 4 he can pull it bak with the best 3 seasons of buffy eva. This one being the best. Fave eps? Help, Conversations with dead people, Him, Potential, Storyteller, of course the brilliant finale 'Chosen'. First Class!!!!
