5 out of 5 stars An Oscar winning classic   May 26, 2008

This is the Oscar winning classic directed by Ridley Scott and starring Russell Crowe. It's about some Roman guy who fights alot. I notice that they've changed the cover for this release and it seems to be '18' rated and I'm sure it was only a '15' at the cinema - I can't really understand it as its not got any sex or nudity in it. I haven't actually watched this DVD yet as as soon as it arrived my teenage son grabbed it and has been locked in his room ever since - 4 days now!! I think he must be suffering from a cold because he only ever comes out to get more tissues. I put my ear to his door to see if I could hear some of the classic dialogue from the film. All I heard was some guy moaning "Oh yeah baby, ride it, it feels do good'. I don't remember that from seeing it in the cinema so I assume it must be a DVD extra scene about the chariot racing. Anyway, this is a classic and I assume this must be the definitive version - buy it now and you won't be disappointed.
