*+*+ If you're a teenager or a young adult, this ones for you! *+*+

br /-- I first heard about this film through my mates. I then bought it and its one of the best films,in my opinion of course.. The actors played really well. and if you're one of them youths or teens who "rolls on the road" this ones for you. The films just perfect for teenagers and lots of funny bits and serious ones as well.
br /
br /-- DONT BUY IT if you are not modern or "up-to-date" because you won't understand the language as its all "blad, kuzin, wasteman". So dont buy it if you think you wont be able to connect or get in to it and then you'd leave a bad review then other people who might like it would think this films crap. But the truth is IT AINT. and you know it.
Brilliant November 13, 2006 Loz Boz (Essex, England) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
I thought i would try this film after reading the reviews on amazon. i am so glad i brought this dvd i havent seen a film as good as this for a long time, it has great actors who u end up getting attached to and the storyline keeps u glued to the film to see whats going to happen. gives people a good idea of how teenagers live today and what problems and emotions they go through. The urban music is great with surround sound. definatly worth buying !!
phenomonal August 4, 2006 Mr. C. J. Kirby (UK) 6 out of 9 found this review helpful
A realy great film which will be watched eyes wide open. It is quite worrying that these people are only 15 and there are actualy people like that in London. Terrifying, funny and shocking, Highly reccomended
A youths life July 25, 2007 K. Robinson (London) 6 out of 9 found this review helpful
This film is Excellent, one of the best british films made. It shows what the kids of today have to cope with on a daily basis, it covers so much, bullying, gangs and weapons. The film uses the slang of todays youth, unlike shameless which makes this film even better. some films like green street are let down due to the fake accents and wording. Some members here have slated the film beacause they dont understand it. i dont know about others but it would have been obvious that the film wont contain dictionary english just by looking at the cover. Terms like 'BRAP BRAP' 'WASTEMAN' and 'BLOOD' is what makes the film so realistic.

br /I highly recommend this film. It will open your eyes to a youths life. it might help people to understand and help youths instead of branding them 'Hoodies' and pushing them away
Superb, if a little grim! May 7, 2006 R. de Pomerai (London, UK) 11 out of 18 found this review helpful
This film is superbly directed with very good writing and acting. Most interesting for me was the excellent cinematography - the film was brilliantly shot and equally very interestingly edited. It made great use of both original and cliched camera angles and editing techniques but all with a brilliant level of subtlety that meant it never overpowered the story. The use of music was good - the songs featured aren't to my taste normally but suit the film and are well placed to help the story. Kidulthood is a little grim at times (there are moments when I dispaired of humanity!) but does manage to retain a sense of morality and a positive message. The violence is gritty and a little hard to watch in places (seeing a child being made to slash a man's face with a stanley knife sticks in my mind!) but is movingly and subtly done. Overall a superb film. Highly reccommended.
