October 10, 2009 Diana (Casteau, Belgium-) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful I bought this after watching "Swiss Family Robinson" which is absolutely brilliant and I thought it would be fun to see another family in the same situation. br /I was soooo wrong in buying this, the plot is so weak, the family is formed by a mother-famous cook who always has the last word on everything and just doesn't care about anyone but herself and eats chocolates when gets nervous, two stupid kids and the father that no one ever pays attention to.I could not watch the entire movie, it is so boring and the plot itself is so weak and stupid (they built a watermill that provides the entire house with electricity-miles of bulbs that decorate their tree house in addition to an air conditioned , a washing machine and a kitchen mixer!).This is really unbelievable that a very small watermill should provide the electricity needed for all this, they do not show how this apparently brainless and uncaring people actually built those things, they just appear in the movie matter of factly. br /To cut a long story short do not waste your money on this dvd, rent it first and see what a mess of a movie this is.I am disappointed that Disney even considered to produce this awful movie let alone putting it on dvd!
