5 out of 5 stars Riotous   August 27, 2006

This film is perhaps the funniest I have seen and was a pleasant surprise in being so! Often I have rushed out and bought 'gay' themed films simply because they are 'gay', that have been largely pants, dull and poorly produced. This is NOT the case with Adam and Steve and is funnier than any 'straight' film I have ever seen. I thought I was in for more of the same old tat with this DVD but I almost burst an eye with laughing out loud! The cast are excellent, the writing is genius and the chemistry between all of the characters blew me away. In other words... it's not bad (!)

5 out of 5 stars Good easy laugh a minute film...   October 21, 2006

Found this film doing a random search - but I am totally happy I found it... br / br /It is a light-hearted take on how a chance encounter between two lads years ago... leads to serious life-changing decisions... br / br /Ultimately, these lads meet again, purely by accident, and sparks fly again, and leads to a zany courtship of the most dysfunction kind... br / br /It allows for easy laughs, without complication - the plot is credible and well developed... the acting is effortless, and there is great chemistry between all the major players... br / br /SPECIAL mention to Parker Posey - she gives a show stealing performance, and needs to be acknowledged for this... br / br /Defo worth mutliple viewings...

5 out of 5 stars A Wonderful Movie!   October 29, 2006

We rented this movie from Amazon and didn't quite know what to expect... What we got was laughter and a feel good factor that some gay movies don't often provide. It just got better the second time we watched it and I've just ordered a copy for keeps! br / br /Go hire/buy this movie - you'll love it!

5 out of 5 stars At last - a gay feelgood movie!   October 18, 2006

I bought this on a whim. As a gay man I love the gay genre of filmmaking but to be honest I was getting a little bored with the "doom and gloom" aspect. I was so glad I got this film, it is hilarious! br / br /Adam is a luck-cursed man who meets his dream date (a 'Dazzle Dancer'!) in Danceteria in the eighties. After a truely hilariously disasterous date that causes repercussions on both sides they meet in modern day NY. They do not recognise each other until much later on in the movie when they are deeply in love. br / br /This film was very very funny and all my straight friends love it too! br / br /If you want to kick back and just have some fun then get this movie, a bottle of wine and someone hunky to share it with, you won't be disappointed!
