| Editorial Reviews:
Based on Robert Ludlum's novel, iThe Hades Factor/i puts a bio-terrorism spin on a good old-fashioned spy thriller storyline for this tense TV mini-series. Stephen Dorff is top-billed as a former spy turned medical researcher who is pulled back into the espionage business when a new and mysterious disease erupts simultaneously in three military-sensitive regions. The target of the investigation centers on another covert operative (Mira Sorvino), who made off with a black-market virus in the middle of a government sting. The film's solid cast, which includes Blair Underwood and two Hustons--Danny and Anjelica (as the U.S. President)--helps the suspension of belief required for this sort of story considerably, and director Mick Jackson delivers the required amount of action at a brisk and engaging clip. Squeamish viewers should know that the outbreak scenes are particularly grisly for a television production. i--Paul Gaita/i

Thoroughly enjoyed this film. With good acting and a good script.
br /Even if, the thought of this really happening could be devastating.

Just missed the 5th star....... August 7, 2007 Inmi Opinion (Cadiz,Spain) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
Mainly due to the mish-mash ending which seemed a bit hurried even for a film running this length of time.Stalwart cast of Stephen Dorff,Mira Sorvino in one of her best roles to date, ever watchable Sophia Myles and ever reliable but under-rated Jeffrey De Munn. A phial containing a virus goes missing during an operation by a US Government action group that the President (Anjelica Huston) has to deny even exists. There are the usual dirty tricks, back-stabbing and infighting you'd expect but the main theme is the attempt by an Islamic Terrorist Group to infect the US with operatives infected with the virus. Will they succeed? Will Dorff and Co. save the day? Worth buying to see.
Thrilling. June 29, 2009 Ms. J. F. Gilby (bexhill, uk) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Yep, I'm a fan of Stephen Dorff's work and when I came across this I knew I had to see it not just to look at him but the story sounded intresting. When a deadly virus breaks out, it's up to Dorff and co to save the day from the illness. Yes, there is a few scenes with a lot of blood so for people who don't like blood beware. It's a thrilling, action packed, little film. Though it was made for TV which was on Sky, it was on so late that I'm glad to see it on DVD on my own time. Yes, Stephen Dorff was once again hot and played a good enough pefomance. The co-stars from the likes of Mira Sorvino, Sophia Myles and Angelica Huston are worthy enough for your attention. The only problem was the ending, like a another reviewer it was seriously rushed and left dangling begging for more. But it's worth seeing for two hours and thirty eight minutes, you may find that you watch the whole lot without looking at the time going by. It's recommended you see this, though with a weak and disappointing ending.
Nothing Like The Book August 23, 2007 S. Astbury (Crewe, England) 1 out of 5 found this review helpful
I watched the TV show and thought is was good. so i then bought the book and watched the show again and realised it misses out at least half of the actual story and some of the chracters names are wrong. i advise everyone to read the book as it is 100 times better than the TV show.
