One of the best January 8, 2007 Jg Blake (UK) 9 out of 12 found this review helpful
If you've seen Little Britain on TV then you don't need any reassurance when thinking about purchasing the DVD box set. If you haven't seen it on TV, THEN GO BUY IT! You know what your getting plus there are all the extras. One i found useful is that you can watch a whole season of one act e.g. watch 12 Lou and Andy scenes in a row.

Okay, so you either like it or you loathe it. I am personally not keen on every single character, however, each one is well executed and observed, whether people would like to agree or not (i guess that is the point - they pick on topics and characteristics which most people try to avoid or play down).
br /
br /This box set is a great idea for gifts and for those people who have not previously bought any of the other DVDs so far, plus you can always skip the bits you don't like and watch the bits you do as many times as you like.

br /It doesn't make you a sheep if you truly like David Walliams and Matt Lucas's work.
One of the greatest comedies of all time! January 12, 2007 Mr. S. Waldron (UK) 12 out of 18 found this review helpful
Anybody who doesn't find Little Britain absolutely hilarious, then they haven't got a sense of humour. It's that simple. Each character is brilliantly created and portrayed either as an outrageous stereotype (i.e. Vicki Pollard the chavette, or Daffyd the gayboy); or as some sort of surreal lunatic bereft of any social conduct skills (i.e. Carol "computer says no" Beer, or Fatfighters' Marjorie Dawes). There is always something to make you laugh in every scene of every programme; whether it be the riduculous costumes Lucas and Walliams prance about in or the outrageous one-liners that are so hilarious.
br /
br /But every great programme gets it's ignorant critics; and to say that Little Britain is racist, sexist, ageist or homophobic is absolute nonsense, because it's all of them! If every scene revolved around causing offense to one particular minority, then these critics would have a leg to stand on, but as it is, Little Britain rips the p*ss out of every single minority and majority group I can think of; it even gets you laughing at your own social group because it's so damn silly! Just stop taking it so seriously - it's a comedy for God's sake!
br /
br /So, in closing; buy Little Britain, and if you don't buy it for the pure comedy genius, just buy it to see what all the fuss is about!
br /
br /P.S. Look out for my favourite character, Mr. Mann, who makes an appearance in every single series at least once in his endless search for a stupidly specific item, much to shopkeeper Roy and his wife Margaret's distress!

One of the funniest British comedies ever. It is no accident that the catchphrases have caught on in society. It is quite rude but also very funny.
br /There will be those offended by it's rudeness, or not fans of it's sometimes schoolboy humour, but on the whole most people will laugh out loud when watching this.

Very, very good March 18, 2008 Empe (Italy) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
If you like the "politically correct" discharge it.
br /But if you like old style "hard" british humour, i.e. non "polished" like Mr Bean don't miss it
