Amazon.co.uk Reviews If a weekend of team building exercises in the woods sounds like your personal idea of torture, spare a thought for the poor pen pushers of ISeverance/I. As if the obligatory paintball and trust exercises weren't enough, there's a killer lurking outside their cabin--a killer holding a grudge against the unsuspecting employees of Palisade Defense... P ISeverance/I is one of the best British horror movies to come out of the last couple of years. It's smarter than it has any right to be; screenwriter James Moran neatly sidesteps the numerous clichés littering the genre, balancing eye-watering gore with almost surreal humour, while ICreep/I helmer Chris Smith's assured direction sells even the daftest (and cruellest) moments. P Smith also draws great performances from a talented cast, including IDead Like Me/I's Laura Harris, IBlack Adder/I's Darling Tim McInnerny, and Danny Dyer of IMean Machine/I and IThe Football Factory/I. P Horror fans will lap this up; those lacking an iron stomach might watch some scenes from behind laced fingers, but will appreciate the fast-paced action and black humour nonetheless.--ISarah Dobbs/I

One of the best films i've ever seen... December 16, 2006 A. D. Roache (UK) 17 out of 24 found this review helpful
Let me just say, if you are in any doubt whether to give this film a go, it's worth every single penny. Absolutely hilarious. Seriously Scarey. A bit like Shaun of the dead, just... better. Camera angles are stunning. Sounds add so much to the film also.

br /Coming onto the plot... well, it's just so funny because you can relate all the characters to someone you know.

There seems to be some extreme views on this film and people either seem to love or hate it.

br /In my opinion it was a really good film. The balance of comedy and horror was well done. I am a great supporter of British films and this film shows that a good film can be made by the British film industry.

Great film April 30, 2007 Seta 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
Low budget, stereotype characters, weird mix of odd humour and the sinister - it's a great film! You can't take it seriously but it does entertain. It worked for me and I loved it.
Five star British black humour-horror flick June 26, 2007 Privateofcourse (UK) 6 out of 9 found this review helpful
I just love British cinema, which can be painful at times because it often isn't all it should be, or what we all hope it to be. However, films like Shaun of the Dead and 28 Days have helped revive the classic British horror genre and bring it into this century..both are excellent films. But this flick? Well my expectations were low, especially after reading some private reviews, but I was very very surprised to find my fears weren't warranted at all, and the reviews I'd read must have been about some other film of the same name, or the watchers just didn't get it! It's a hilarious British horror flick which which, IMO, is incredibly well conceived. We're just getting better and better at this genre. If you want Hollywood you won't find it here...and thank heavens (sick of it). But if you want some top notch, raw horror comedy, watch this. This is going right on the shelf next to Shaun of The Dead, 28 Days Later, Dog Soldiers, and the fantastic flick full of chicks, The Descent. Excellent.
Excellent stuff August 26, 2007 Mr W (Manchester, England) 5 out of 8 found this review helpful
Highly enjoyable - silly, gruesome, tense, a few jumps and a very funny decapitation. Not to mention a near four in a bed at the end. Great stuff, and a fantastic gag with a missile launcher as well. A good night in.
