I cannot agree with the negative comments made by some of the reviewers here. This show is brilliant, as is Kyra (wife of Kevin Bacon). I also love Boston Legal and Criminal Minds, CSI and many other fantastic US imports. The writing IS good, and the acting IS good and the characters ARE believable and we, in my family, LOVE IT. I don't very often take the time to write reviews but felt I just had to on this series. It is suprisingly amazing and I recommend everyone giving it a go. The main character played by Kyra Sedgwick is quirky, funny believable and 100% entertaining all the way. The supporting cast are also brilliant and the series is unique enough in its writing and characters that you do not compare it to all the other US 'CSI' type programmes. Hope that there will be another series. Enjoy A*****

This is much more akin to Prime Suspect than anything else, and Kyra Sedgwick had acknowledged her debt to Helen Mirren as a role model. This is top draw police procedural with the added bonus of Kyra Segewick's flawless portrayal of a forty something deputy chief, whose private life trails a distant second to her job. The velvet Southern belle facade that covers the ferocious iron fist of legal righteousness is quite something to behold. Keeping secrets from this woman simply is not an option, hence the title of the show - she closes cases like no other. The writing of the show is above all else intelligent, and laced with wonderful moments of dark humour. I've watched seasons one and two on DVD virtually back to back over the last couple of days and it's been fantastic entertainment. My only regret is that now I have to wait so long for season three to come along. I'm really pleased to see that Kyra has signed on for seven seasons of 15 eps apiece, so five more seasons to go. Bring 'em on, is all I can say!

A great show and I have even been able to get hold of a Season 2 DVD copy through Amazon market place.But where are the UK releases? Is there some reason why it does not appear to be released here? Someone is missing out on a great opportunity because,I believe,that if copies were available in this country it would sell like the proverbial hot cakes.

I have enjoyed this series from Day One and look forward to buying the complete collections as they are released. This is not a typical cop series - there's plenty of action humour - you never know who the murderer is till the end, as there is plenty of twists.
