Amazon.co.uk Review A coming-of-age story starring a bunch of fiftysomething stars rather than teenage actors, iWild Hogs/i is a well-intentioned comedy starring John Travolta (Woody), Tim Allen (Doug), Martin Lawrence (Bobby), and William H. Macy (Dudley) as a group of Midwesterners facing their own versions of mid-life crises. They decide to escape their frazzled personal lives and rejuvenate themselves by taking a road trip on their slick hogs. But their journey is less iEasy Rider/i than it is iThree Amigos/i (plus one). As individual actors, each lead is a formidable star. But throw them all together into one crammed screenplay full of scatological humour and uncomfortable homosexual gags and it doesn't quite work. The actors spend so much time trying to outdo each other on screen that they aren't believable as friends, much less comrades. Walt Becker (iNational Lampoon's Van Wilder/i) offers minimal direction on a film that could've used some reining in, especially during scenes between Macy and Marisa Tomei (as a diner owner who inexplicably falls for him). There are promises of some interesting vignettes when Ray Liotta shows up as Jack, the leader of a real motorcycle gang. When Jack threatens to break Dudley's legs, Dudley counters, "I'm a computer programmer! I don't need my legs." Without missing a beat, Jack says, "Fine, we'll break his hands." It's not that the lines are so funny, but they way Liotta delivers them that adds some life to this flailing comedy. Unfortunately, his scenes with the rest of the cast are all too few. i--Jae-Ha Kim/i

I saw this film in London recently with my husband (it took a little bit of a push to convince me to go to it) but I didn't regret it. I along with everyone else laughed the whole way through, the best comedy I have seen this year. If you want cheering up go see it or buy it. Anyone else I have spoken to and has seen the film says the same, very funny film.

I dont own the dvd of this film but I saw it at the cinema. When I went I only watched it because there was nothing else on. Not expecting to come out of the cinema that happy I wasn't too eager to go in but wow am I glad i did! Great script, great acting, great overall and with extra funny parts eg. the leaf raking bit.

Don't pass this one by.... July 18, 2007 S. Smith 6 out of 9 found this review helpful
Having now watched this film twice on aeroplanes I can't wait to get hold of the DVD to watch it again on my widescreen.
br /Being someone also of that 'certain age' I laughed all the way through, and laughed again the second time.
br /Not a great film if you're expecting subtle humour, but certainly a light and entertaining diversion. Highly recommended if you're looking for an escape for an hour or so!
Happy as Hog in **** September 27, 2007 Mr. G. Williams (Wiltshire UK) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Class acting, class comedy, yes predictable in places but all the more funny for it,city slickers on bikes it maybe by I loved it. Its me and the way I feel so much so its spooky. great bikes, great feelings, happy times, weak bladder, cramp, and chilli. The kareoke guy had me in stitches " when i get you home babe, gonna light your fire" my wife and realised what a couple of old (40 somethings)we are and its the same the world over. To see the old del tacos rolling around on the leather car park at the end made us realise everybody just wants a good time - with no hassle.
