Best live sound ever for Motorhead July 20, 2006 Mr. K. Mitchell (London) 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
I've been following this lot since 'Overkill'. Their ferocious live shows have always suffered badly on the official releases due to poor reproduced sound. Tinny like 'No Sleep..', poorly mixed like 'Boneshaker' or distorted like 'Everything Louder...' etc.
br /
br /Here the sound is pristine, for the first time ever you can hear every thundering bass chord and note from Lemmys custom Rickenbacker revealing what an underated and totally unique bass player he is. The mix is spacious and clear.
br /
br /The band are super tight and up for it. New songs like 'In The Name of Tragedy' and 'Killers' prove their pedigree and relevance in the 30th anniversary year. These sit alongside excellent renditions of old and mid-season classics like 'Metropolis', 'Going to Brazil', 'RAMONES' etc whilst 'Whorehouse Blues' is a nice change of pace.
br /
br /Only minor criticism is I really wish they would drop 'Killed By Death' - naff song, naff tune and its been around far too long but thats probably just me!
br /
br /If you want one live Motorhead show this is it.

The Business! July 27, 2005 Paracelsus (UK) 10 out of 13 found this review helpful
This DVD really kicks ass - blows the "Boneshaker" one away completely. It brings a really great gig to the screen with some really great footage (including "matrix" style multi camera stuff), and an excellent sound mix. A really brilliant show - classic songs, and great new material too, proving that the juggernaut just rumbles on... some great lighting too (much better than the 30th anniversary gig at Hammersmith, I reckon). pTons of additional material.brIf you like Motorhead, then you'll love this DVD.brWhetted the appetite for seeing them again in October...brGet well soon Lemmy. - Nice one lads.
F%#@ING BRUTAL!!!! July 25, 2005 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
This blows all other Motorhead DVDs away. By far the best as far as sound quality and camera angles. You won't have a seizure watching the camera angle change at a million miles an hour like on the previous release. My neighbors hate me already for blasting this. GET IT NOW!
Indescribably good December 7, 2005 DarkAvenger (London, UK) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
So much better than the last DVD it#x27;s unbelievable. I really can#x27;t explain how good this setlist is, particularly Phil#x27;s great solos on "Power". everyone should own this DVD. Great extras and commentary too.pYou just can#x27;t imagine how perfectly on form Motorhead are at the moment- unlike EVERY other band of their generation they keep things fresh and interesting and their musical prowess IMPROVES with time, instead of fizzling out like so many other bands.pCriticisms- the band themselves nail it in the commentary. Phil#x27;s guitar is too quiet at the start of the show, and the camera is still a bit "epileptic" (ie too many cuts). But it#x27;s tolerable, unlike the last DVD which is unwatchable.
