Fab! January 9, 2008 Mis Emma Roach (Manchester, England) 25 out of 25 found this review helpful
I bought Latina Size last year and really enjoyed it but I enjoyed this one more. Yes the steps are difficult (I am not a dancer but I can pick up moves and steps quite quickly) and take time to master but for me if its too simple I got bored easily. I find that if you do it properly (once you have managed to master the footwork) it should leave you out of breath.
br /
br /Cha cha - Done to dancing in the moonlight, quite fast footwork but good fun.
br /Salsa - Done to Feeling hot hot hot. this is my favourite, love the moves and the music makes you feel like your in Cuba!
br /Quick step - this one is the most physically demanding. I still havn't mastered all the footwork because some are quite complicated but a great routine to work your legs
br /Jive - done to I'm still standing. I find the leg kicks difficult to get the hang of because they are done quickly but I'm slowly getting there. Quite demanding but the first half of the chorus is quite slow and so theres a chance to get your breath back
br /Samba - Done to a version of the strictly theme tune. this dance is not as long as the others which is a shame because it is a nice routine. Good thats its at the end because its lower impact than the rest so a good set up for the cool down.
br /
br /All in all, although it can be difficult, its worth persevering because it's great fun!
Love it- I'm tired January 13, 2008 Sarah Hill (London) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
This is brilliant. I love it. Of course I nearly fell over a few times. But I really enjoyed recognising so many of the moves from the show- mainly being the eight hop turns and elephant walks- Colin Jackson and Mark Ramp moves I had loved!!
br /
br /Each dance takes a few times to learn, but I am now at the stage where I select "workouts without instructional" and just dance straight for 45 mins (obvs with a break after the quickstep which tries to kill me)
br /
br /With the exception of the double speed box step (samba) and the heel toe taps (jive) the moves are ok to master, even with no dancing background.

br /I love this DVD SO much...and it hasnt left my machine for 5 days now...
What a workout! December 5, 2007 Mrs. J. Fieldwick 60 out of 68 found this review helpful
I really enjoy these workouts, 5 different workouts and a warm up and cool down. They target different parts of the body so you can pick and choose. each workout starts with an introduction to the steps, (there is a section with just the routines but I haven't made it that far yet!).
br /They are really good workouts, and if you get confused with the steps just do a basic step till you get back into the routine.
br /If you're a fan of SCD and what to get fit then buy it!
br /
br /PS, you might want to stick some sequins to your gym gear!
keep at it! January 27, 2008 legally brunette (scotland) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This DVD is great. Some of the steps are quite tricky, especially on the quickstep, but most are fairly easy to pick up (try pausing the DVD during the instructions to practice what they have just shown you).
br /The cha-cha is fairly simple once you get the hang of it. The salsa I managed to do without watching the instructions, so is pretty easy to pick up. The quickstep is great fun, but it hurts! The steps for it are difficult, but I'm getting there. The jive is my favourite, but I'd advise taking a break after the quickstep before you start it! the samba is much less energetic than the others, but is a nice way to finish off.
br /
br /Don't give up if you can't pick up the moves straight away. If you love dancing, you should have great fun with this!
Dance Like The Experts! December 5, 2007 ally 57 out of 67 found this review helpful
I am an avid fan of Strictly Come Dancing and am so pleased that this DVD has come out. It is different from the other workout DVDs and I like the fact that you can learn the more traditional dances. I love that they show how to do 5 different dances and that the dances each work on a different part of the body so you can pick and choose which body area you want to work on at a time.
