Cracking British Indie January 7, 2008 Ms. K. J. G. Grantham (London United Kingdom) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
This movie is absolutely cracking - a lovely hidden gem. It's a woody allen-esque black comedy on relationships - it's not feel good hollywood schamltz, but the human observation is excellent and there are some truly great lines. enjoy.
One of those films you keep looking back on... April 16, 2008 M. Soll (UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Such a shame this film did not become wider known at the time of release, for all those people who may be unaware (as yet) of this little gem. But luckily a second chance to see it (again and again) is upon us, with its release on DVD. Under-stated, touching, well-scripted and beautifully shot, it is one of those films that touch all of us on some level, combining deep themes with light-hearted humour.
br /Well worth the money, for your own enjoyment, as well as for lending out to friends who will soon find themselves joining the fan club.
Witty and understated May 9, 2008 P. R. Head 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Superb. One of those films that actually feels like it's about real people. Captures both the fragility and the ruthlessness of the search for "The One", but handles the theme with such lightness and wit that it brings a genuine smile to your face. Rare to see a film of such honesty in the cinemas these days. Compulsory viewing for that 25-45 age group.
An unromantic comedy. April 10, 2008 Gruff Davies (London) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
David (Stephen Mangan of Green Wing fame) decides to leave long-term girlfriend Lisa for someone else, before he has to marry her. The only trouble is his new girl has also found someone else...

br /The desert dry humour of this film is the perfect antidote to Love Actually or Notting Hill. Reminiscent of the best of Woody Allen, it could have in fact have been 'Not Love, actually". Brilliant! Don't miss it.
A Great London (lost) Love Film April 14, 2008 J. Rhodes (UK) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
A great British indie that deserved a bit more coverage on release - but it's hard to get access to the big screens these days. It should benefit from DVD and I highly recommend adding this to your 'to watch' list. It is perfect indie film length and is paced really well; the performances are top rate and director Col Spector elicits a fantastic deadpan, performance from Stephen Mangan - different to his usual style, but with all the qualities that we recognise.
br /It easily kept my attention, I laughed in all the right places, I didn't quite want it to end and thought about it for the next few days.
br /A great little gem - discover it for yourself!
