My husband is not one of those guys who will laugh at your American Pies very easily so I was pleasantly surprised when I found him with tears running down his face. br / br /It tells the story of Charlie, (Dane Cook), who while playing spin the bottle at a kids birthday party, finds himself stuck in the closet with the local goth girl. She demands to see his penis and when he refuses she puts a hex on him so that in all his future realtionships, the girlfriend will leave him and find true love and marriage with the next guy she meets. br / br /Twenty years or so later, we meet up with Chuck who is now a dentist. His best friend from school is the fat disgusting type who talks about sex and boobs more than anything else, and is a cosmetic surgeon who specialises in breast augmentation. Charlie finds himself at yet another old flame's wedding when he meets Cam, (Jessica Alba), a clumsy yet beautiful girl. He realises that all his ex girlfriends are getting hitched, or have already done so, with the next guy they met after being with him. br / br /As Charlie falls deeper and deeper in love with Cam, (after he had to persuade her that the rumours about him weren't all true!), he realises that if he sleeps with her, he will lose her to the next guy she meets, so he tries to delay that moment for as long as possible. With some help from his friend, he does a little experimenting to see if the hex is real. Amidst all of his paranoia he doesn't realise that he's pushing Cam further away from him by being too over possessive. br / br /There are some truly hilarious moments in here and quite simply there are too many to mention. If you like the American Pies, Van Wilders and Road Trips, then this is the film for you. There's plenty of eeew factor aswell as awww. And there's even some penguin love too. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be re-watching it soon. This movie is hilarious; using alot of rude sex jokes... you say that is a bad thing but i think you will that some people find that very funny. The movie also has great music in, i bought the audio CD and this DVD already. br / br /One of the best movies of the year i think... watch it, give it a chance and see who you agree with Laugh a Minute!!! Sorry but cheap soft porn it is NOT (I don't think Jessica Alba would be too happy at it being labled that!)! It's hilarious and if you want to see a film to make you scream out loud with laughter then this is the film that I can GUARANTEE will do that!!! Buy or rent this film now!!! April 20, 2008 Suhail Ahmad This film almost had it made. If you are into masculine humour and witty charm, then you will like it. In fact, the only thing that crucified this film, were the typical chick flick scenes which just had to raise their ugly heads and completely ruin what could have been an otherwise very funny flick. br / br /This film is an embellished representation of how men and women view relationships (and I have actually met real like characters, the likes of Dr. boob job and they are surprisingly funny guys). One of the underlying points of this film is that ultimately, what women really want is to get married to a knight in shining armour - and this film pokes fun at that ridiculous and delusional real life concept. br / br /One reviewer stated that this film would only appeal to Americans and 13 year old boys, whilst another reviewer (most likely a staunch feminist) stated this film is an insult to someone with half a brain cell. I have to laugh, since I am not an American (nor a 13 year old boy). I am actually a Neuro-Pharmacologist (and far from stupid). By the way sweetheart, it is neurologically impossible to survive on half a brain cell (or even one).
