Amazon.co.uk Review Get yourself a snappy title and a couple of marquee names (however disreputable) and you might just snag your no-budget movie a national release--as iZombie Strippers/i colorfully proves. The names in question belong to porn star Jenna Jameson and Freddie Krueger himself, Robert Englund, both of whom look quite comfortable in this sleazy milieu. As the title suggests (well, "suggests" might be a mild word), there has been an outbreak of the undead in a strip club, with strippers actually improving their onstage antics after they've become zombies. (Given the number of implants on display, it's a wonder the zombies didn't keel over from silicone poisoning.) Englund is the proprietor of the place, Jameson is a star dancer, and a couple of actresses in the "nice girl" roles don't have to take their tops off, although almost everybody else does. Writer-director Jay Lee fills the movie with political gags and a bunch of philosophy references (Jameson reads Nietzsche, the locale is Sartre, Nebraska), all of which play like a lame attempt to distinguish his movie as something other than a puerile horror-comedy. Only thing is, when you try to disguise the fact that you've made a puerile horror-comedy, it kind of takes the oomph out of both the horror and the comedy. The political jibes are about as feeble as those in Southland Tales, but at least iZombie Strippers/i is shorter. Shot on video, it looks atrocious, but perhaps that doesn't matter very much. --iRobert Horton, Amazon.com/i

Rot slickened panties October 27, 2008 T. Nixon (uk) 1 out of 5 found this review helpful
No matter how bad the acting, directing, or special effects are, this film has earned 5 stars for two reasons. reason one: hot goth zombie throwing her rot slickened panties at the wall where they stick. Reason two: she then goes on to give Robert (freddy kruger) Englund an 'erotic face dance' with lots of disturbing squelchy noises. I mean come on, that surely deserves an Oscar on its own!

br /oh, and they give Jenna Jameson zombie boobs.
Better than expected February 20, 2009 K. Robson (Fairy Grove) I loved this film. I expected another rubbish low budget load of tripe in my search for a decent modern zombie fix (yes I got so desperate that I thought what the heck despite the title). I have to say that this along with 2001 maniacs is the leader in modern B movies. It re-ignited my love of the genre (B movie not horror) and I am hoping to watch more while I wait for a decent modern horror to come along. Could hollywood please research the old classics like dawn of the dead and at least try to make something half as decent. Anyway expect ham acting, daft storyline, gory effects (the effects are pretty excellent on this, something that is making modern b movies great) and some laugh out loud moments. Sit back and enjoy it for what it is.
THEY'RE ZOMBIES, THEY'RE STRIPPERS - THEY'RE ZOMBIE STRIPPERS! January 18, 2009 Haunted Nostril (UK) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
In an alternate, or perhaps future, America the government has banned public nudity just as an outbreak of a zombie virus occurs. In step Z-Team to sort out the zombie virus, one of them gets bit and separates from the rest of his squad of bad acting brothers and sisters and stumbles into an underground strip club/speak easy type affair. Queue a torrent of blood, cheap giggles and silicone.
br /So I got this film after having a good laugh at a boozy lads night in watching `Zombie, Zombies, Zombies: Zombies vs Strippers', oddly enough I think this is the bigger budget counterpart of the aforementioned z-grade nonsense - which says a lot about that film. So I grabbed myself a cheap copy of zombies Vs Strippers, fully knowing what to expect, and swiftly made my way down the offy for some tins to accompany it. What can I say: exact same effect. Bunch of your mates, some tins and plenty of shouting at the TV in total disbelief of the madness you're putting yourselves through and you've got yourself a winner.
br /This movie is just an excuse to put loads of bare bodies and blood on screen with a thin coating of social satire to keep the whole sticky mess together, and if we can't all put our brains to bed for a bit and have some big snorting laughs at this kind of junk once in a while then what can we do?

br /THE GOOD:
br /- Daft as a bag of gremlins.
br /- Some actual funny bits that will have you and your mates giggling like big kids
br /- Some inventive effects and cool looking zoms. Okay - fair enough - it looks alot like Mortal Kombat at times but those looking for any amount of realism should look else where me thinks (obviously).
br /- Some good looking girls doing some impressive moves.
br /- Englund hams it up big style and is great for it.
br /- The pool ball, zombie stripper fight, bit is brilliant, you'll see.
br /- Won't tax a work addled mind.
br /- Disgraceful acting and dialog that'll have you in stitches.
br /
br /THE BAD
br /- Again like Zombies Versus Strippers the whole film is bad but this is streamlined badness that slaps you in the face and makes you do big, drink squirting out of your nose, dopey sounding, guffaws.
br /- Far, far too much silicone for my liking.
br /
br /CONCLUSION
br /What can I say - Completely off it's honkers, A total disgrace...and I loved it - it's the complete antidote to a serious day at work. It's like the ultimate, big kids, man flick that counterbalances total chick-flick tosh like `The wedding planner' and other evils of it's ilk perfectly. Without this film the world would be a much duller place and I can't wait to put it in the collection for a marathon bad movie laugh-a-thon.

Modern B movie classic January 28, 2009 chuckles (Netherlands) 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
I guess the some of the people reviewing this movie did not get it? This movie is intended to be a Russ Meyer, B movie bit of fun. At no point was this supposed to be a serious horror movie. The acting is deliberately hammy, the Z force squad action movie stereotypes and the over the top horror. If you take it as such, it's a brilliant giggle late night movie to watch with friends. If however you treat it as a serious horror movie, you will feel seriously let down. Considering many of the stars are from the adult film business, the acting is surprisingly good, and with pretty good special effects, it feels like a excellent quality B movie (if that isn't a contradiction!). So sit down and enjoy a tongue in cheek comedy horror classic!
Does exactly what it says on the tin September 10, 2008 Rock Zombie (Cambridge) 11 out of 15 found this review helpful
Ignore the one star rating, how can anyone think a film called Zombie Strippers should take itself seriously?
br /This film is better than you'd expect. It's low budget comedy horror, like Re-animator, or Peter Jackson's Braindead. If you like those films, you'll like this. Enjoy.
