Brilliant brilliant boxset showing exactly what the clever ladies can do and true proof of how they've managed to achieve both comedy goddess and national treasure status. The only downside to this boxset is that there is a distinct lack of Christmas, Easter and Comic Relief specials and extras or out takes. I myself having gone to a fair few of their recordings know only too well that things go wrong or Jennifer (mainly!) forgets her lines or gets distracted by the audience because we've made her laugh! As well as this there are sketches that are still extremely funny that never make the final edit, surely a few deleted sketches wouldn't hurt? br / br /Still a very well used and very much treasured boxset in our house, it's such a shame that the ladies are putting down their sketch writing stationary forevermore.

French and saunders, what's more blissful than buying a french and saunders box set, putting the kettle on, having a cup of tea and literally laughing until youre half dead in front of the tv. If your looking for a quality comedy series look no further than this collection. I did buy the American box set of different era's of french and saunders but this one will prove to be the better one which is what we need over here in britain. br / br /Hoorah, Finally a french and saunders collection thats good. br / br /Jennifer is my fav.

Thoroughly enjoyed this box set from start to finish! I'd never seen the first series which is hilarious, quite slapstick and quite different to the rest of the series! They are masters of film parody, of course, but also the white room sketches and impressions are brilliant too. There are loads of famous guest stars throughout. I really liked the last series because it's very different in style to the rest but works! As if FS would have to beg for air-time on BBC! Ha ha! I don't think these two can help but be funny. I will treasure this!

Ok, first i would like to tell you that i'm a big fan of "French Saunders", i think they are amazing, and all things that they do are perfect. The 3 stars are for the dvd set. I don't own the dvd set but as far as i know it's not complete. First it was announced as having 9 dvds and now there are only 6 dvds. Then the episodes are not complete and full of cuts like sindicated or something. The specials are gone. Don't know if they have all the episodes. It's a censured version dvd set. What's the point of having this set? Please tell me. I don't know who releases this dvds, but there are some other series in USA that have the same problem. They have all been changed for producing dvds at a low cost and fool customers, for example Beverly Hills 90210, Roswell (edited episodes and all soundtrack changed)and ALF (Syndicated edited episodes). Then the people who makes these dvd sets question themselves why are so many bootlegs around ...!!!
