GReat Chick Flick ...although interesting for Guys March 6, 2008 A. A. Parker (London, England) 6 out of 10 found this review helpful
It probably won't be your best film this year - but to me, it was great - and kinda made me realise about my life.

br /Sweet movie, great scenes and story - enjoy
Great feel good film!! June 1, 2008 michael 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
I bought this film because Sarah michelle gellar is my favourite actress and it is the ultimate feel good comedy/romance for a great night in. Sarah michelle gellar makes this film superb although those who are not fans of sarah michelle gellar may want to rent it before buying it. This film is an absolute must for sarah michelle gellar fans and if you dont want to buy it then it is definatly worth a rent!
true chick flick!! May 26, 2008 Kelly Parrott (Essex, UK) 3 out of 6 found this review helpful
I loved this film. It made me laugh (quite a lot actually) and also cry. It is a well made film with a touching story line. Really glad I bought it.
Witty romantic comedy about reassurances and living life July 21, 2008 Louise Amkaer (Greenland) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Brett is an associate book editor, hoping to make full editor soon. She is however, terribly unsure of herself. She lives her life the same way she edits book - with a pencil, writing, erasing, writing again (sometimes even the same thing again) and having serious doubts. Then she meets big-time editor Archie, who just happens to be twice her own age. There relationship evolves to a professional teacher/student relationship and a romantic relationship as well.

br /I enjoyed this romantic comedy more than I had anticipated. It is as soggy romantic as I had dreaded, but more the kind of movie, where you laugh and end up recgonizing bits and pieces from your own life. Who hasn't ended reassurance in a relationship or professionally? Who hasn't felt the serious doubt about what they were doing? Who hasn't been compelled to take charge, even if they do it poorly and reach some point of independence?
br /
br /I would also like to compliment the performances from Sarah Michelle Gellar and Alec Baldwin. They are fabulous together in "Suburban girl".
br /
br /Oh yes, I have to say, that the dialogue is witty and wonderful, full of literary references. It is nice to see a romantic comedy where they use words with three syllables or more.
br /
br /Yes, this is a romantic comedy for Sunday afternoons on the couch, but it will make you want to break out and be independent.

A relationship with an older man November 10, 2008 Midnight Rambler (NE Scotland) Probably not a film to invite you friends round to see as it is not a
br /teen movie or a romcom.
br /However it is a good film that I will watch again.
br /The 2 leads are very good in a story about a young woman embarking on
br /a relationship with an older man.
br /It also has an excellent soundtrack.
