Being a devoted Stevie Nicks fan for 20 years now this is the product we have all been waiting for, Stevie's first ever straight to DVD Live Concert which was recorded for PBS Soundstage in October 2007.

br /First we'll get to the technical details, This DVD is REGION 0 not REGION 2 as most companies are listing it as, Also it is in NTSC format not PAL, Which in my opinion NTSC is a better picture quality and this DVD certainly proves that.
br /
br /The picture is amazing and in Widescreen and there are 2 Audio tracks to chose from Linear PCM and Dolby 3/1.2 Surround sound, I personally prefer the Linear PCM Audio track.
br /
br /There are 18 songs on the DVD including 1 bonus track which you can access from the song list menu, The song is LANDSLIDE (Orchestra Version) and this is the version that appears on the companion SOUNDSTAGE SESSIONS CD which is an essential purchase aswell. The filming of the bonus track and Audio is quite different than the LANDSLIDE version in the actual concert.

br /For the original filming there were 18 songs recorded for the show but only 17 made it to this DVD, The other song was BEAUTY AND THE BEAST but that thankfully features on the SOUNDSTAGE SESSIONS CD but i would be interested to know why it wasn't featured on the DVD. The song was the last performed in the set list and you can notice it as it goes to the credits the picture moves up to the right side where Stevie is wearing a completley different outfit taking a bow with all her 10 band members, A Black nearly off the shoulder Dress with her hair tied up.

br /The DVD running time is 120 Minutes including the LANDSLIDE (Orchestral Version) bonus track.

br /There are many costume changes after every 2 or 3 songs which is one of her trademarks and yes, The Boots are back! Also Stevie tells the stories behind many of the songs which are fasinating!
br /
br /There is very moving tribute to Stevie's late Father Jess Nicks who passed away in 2005 which she dedicates LANDSLIDE to him and there is some really touching Video footage playing on stage.
br /
br /The ONLY issue i have with this DVD is that there are no songs performed from 3 of her Solo Albums: ROCK A LITTLE, THE OTHER SIDE OF THE MIRROR and STREET ANGEL. Which is a great shame but considering Stevie's massive back catologue of songs something will always be missing.

br /All in all this DVD is what we've been waiting for for a very long time and it has definitely been worth the wait.

br /What i've always loved about Stevie is that she is always true to herself and her Fans by not falling into any trends or fads and that's what makes Stevie Nicks so very special.

This dvd is great. As I a die hard Stevie fan I think this is awesome! It is the only live solo DVD since the 1985 Red Rocks and it is well worth the wait. The band is great - so good to see Waddy Wachtel (lead guitarist) and Lori and Sharon (backing vocalists) are still creating the music with her after all these years. I love the solo versions of the Fleetwood Mac classics here - she seems to have much more freedom in her solo performances. To any stevie fan this is a must and to any new comers I am sure they will be pleasantly surprised that at the age of 60 she definitely still has it!!!!!

This is a great work that shows that even at 60 this lady can still perform to a very high standard. The show is slightly over produced and slick, probably for a US TV show, but this does not detract from the fact that it is a great performance with fantastic vocal control.
br /I must answer one of the earlier reveiwers who asked, "Where did they get the guitarist". Well what can I respond to that. Waddy Watchel is one of the greatest guitarists of a generation and puts in a stellar performance with wonderful feel and touch which is missing from a lot of modern players.His soulful contributions complements Stevie's songs in every way.
br /Maybe the earlier reviewer should stick to listening to Britney Spears and the X factor finalists!! (ouch)
br /Great DVD, go out and buy it, if you're a fan you'll love it.

Actually perhaps I should have said returns to her best because throughout her stellar 36 year career there have been some exceptional highs but also (because no doubt of various chemical addictions) some real lows. This is however superlative. The guitarist (Waddy Watchel) is actually the guitarist that appeared on her probably best album 'Belladonna' and is a respected session musician. I think his performance on songs like Fall from Grace and How Still My Love (one of my favourites on the DVD) actually improves upon the originals! I would also say that 'Rhiannon' is probably better here than any live performance I can think of by Stevie OR Fleetwood Mac! OK, so her voice is a little shaky these days in her upper register - but what critics of Stevie's vocals never got is that it is her vocal delivery which made her one of the great female singers not her technical abilities (or failings). There just isn't any female singer who can thrill, move and be sensous at the same like Stevie!
