4 out of 5 stars Don't miss this!   September 6, 2008

The Passage is a must see, as it stars the excellent Stephen Dorff and the feature film writer and rising star Neil Jackson along with Sarai Givaty. Neil you may remember from the excellent "Blade The Series" as the very convincing arch villain 'Marcus Van Sciver'. He also has a part in the latest James Bond "Quantum of Solace" which is due in UK cinemas 31st Oct 2008 (worldwide between 31Oct and 14Nov for USA/Canada) Neil plays Mr. Slate, a henchman who has a fight with Bond. I am confident The Passage is going to be a hit so can't wait to get my copy of this DVD. br /Rob Cardiff.

3 out of 5 stars Scary Until The Ending.   February 19, 2009

I rented this title as it looked good and had a gripping story that just had to be told. It starts off slowly with two men, one British and the other American (the rather nice Stephen Dorff) visiting Moraccro after the American was cruelly dumped by his unfaithful girlfriend. When he says goodbye to his friend for the night, he meets a myterious young woman who delvops a rushing relationship only for the whole people around them against their love altogether and refuse them to be in any hotels or anywhere. So she takes him to the Atlas Mountains and finds one place to stay for the night only to be the worst thing he ever did. The tunnels he goes down in are frightening and unnerving, I felt terrified something would happen to him and me because I hate jumping out of my skin. The shocking ending they mention at the back isn't really shocking, I knew it was coming to me and leaves you very unsatified. The pefomances are good from the unknown stars to the handsome Dorff who is always good in his movies. But I just wished it would end a little better than that, good horror movies should have a happy ending and not leaving you in total despair and annoyed. A worthy three stars exculding the ending.

1 out of 5 stars so good....UNTIL THE ENDING!!!!   October 23, 2008

Don't get me completely wrong, for about 4/5 of this film, I thought it was fine, pretty good in fact. There were some good performances, great scenery and a particular scene that had me at the edge of my seat for a ridiculous amount of time. br /So 4 stars up to here... But then came the finish.... br / br /I didn't buy this film but had rented it. On the back of the dvd, it describes it as a "shocking conclusion"... but the words I was using shortly after the ending were "sick" and "pointless". br /I'm not going to give it away for those of you who are going to watch it but the majority of the storyline was really good and I just felt it was almost all "wasted" at the end. br /Some of you may well like this "shocking" conclusion (!) of which, ironically I was looking forward to having read the back of the dvd. br /But to be quite honest, the ending was rubbish and of course "sick"!! br / br /Don't mistake me for someone who hates blood and gore (theres in fact very little of this...youll see) I just hated the ending so much, it was worth giving a decent film 1 star!!! (YOU might like it though (!!!) )
