As a parent you often need to sit through a fair range of rubbish and whilst on paper this is a typical cliched Disney affair - it's a lot more bearable than other films I've had to sit through (ok so I enjoyed it really !!). Whilst the story is pretty much the same as HSM1 - it remains a very safe, unoffensive film which can be watched by any age.

br /Aside from the much better quality, the Blu Ray version offers little over the DVD version - not worth the upgrade unless you find it on offer somewhere.

This is for the blu-ray version.
br /First, this its the only option for watching HSM in widescreen.(1,78 : 1).
br /The dvd are all in 4:3.(1:37:1).
br /This its basically because Part 1 2 Of HSM arn't Movies, but TV-movies, made for Disneychannel Tv station.
br /Disney are very quirky,about widescreen on their tv stations so the old 4:3 format are basically the format Disney likes here.
br /
br /So this blu-ray are in 16:9.(1:78), but its rely looks like Disney has used the same copy as on the dvd,and just enlarged the image to make it 16:9.
br /The image do look better on blu-ray,but there are nothing like any magical curtains will open.
br /The audio are in Uncompressed PCM, and are better than the dvd, most noticeable are that the audio here are smooth, and the songs are equal in volume, and Not as on the dvd where the songs have higher volume settings, than the dialog.(which are very annoying).
br /So the blu-ray are worth the money, it U have a high class tv/audio system.
br /But it does not make a big difference on the video or audio.
