Jason loves his kung fu flicks, and after awakening from a dream of The Monkey King (Jet Li) finds his life starts to turn upside down. br /Michael Angorano plays Jason very well, his character development is fun to watch and the characters he meets are all manner of weird and wonderful. br /There are numerous homages to old kung fu heroes and kung fu movies throughout the film and this alone warrants another viewing. br /Jet Li is brilliant as The Monkey King (and as another character - The Silent Monk) - great humour. Jackie Chan is as funny as ever as The Drunken Immortal and there is a great supporting cast of immortals/mortals to enjoy. br /The action is fantastic, some great fight scenes, some wonderful battle sequences and an intruiging and great story to go with it. br /This is a wonderfully made, well thought out action/fantasy film. Not too taxing on the brain, great to watch, beautifully directed and some great acting - all in all this is a lot more than a kung fu flick and is highly reccommended. Superb October 9, 2008 G. The fight scenes, the music, the acting, the scenery, the story - all of it, I thought it was a superb film. If you're a fan of martial arts (especially Jackie Chan and Jet Li) mixed with fantasy and loads of special effects, then you'll love this. It's good to see the two J's fighting side by side. Smith 1 out of 1 found this review helpful What can be said Jet Li and Jackie Chan in one movie, if you are looking for a Bruce Lee martial arts type of film you will be disappointed, everyone who knows Jackie Chan, knows his movies are played with a great deal of humour, and this one doesn't disappoint. There are other reviews that cover the story line so I won't go into that amount of detail, just let me say this film romps along at a great pace, the action scenes are excellent, it shows a different side of Jet Li and it is one of the few films that I have watched again and again.
