This has to be one of the best backdated blu-ray releases, the film was made to be shown in Hi-Def. br / br /The picture is pin sharp at 1080P and the 5.1 is brilliant and sounds crispy and bassy in all the right places. br / br /As far as the package goes, its got two versions of the film, the cinema edit and a directors extended cut plus tons of special features. br / br /Thing is if your looking at buying this then you know the story and what a great movie it is. So all your probably thinking is 'is it worth getting on Blu Ray, when ive already got the DVD', in short the answer is yes and at £12.00 its a bargain.

Sin City is as close to blu ray perfection that i have seen that totally blows away the dark knight in picture quality. The black/white levels are superb and when the splashes of colour come it creates a visual treat. great film with a gripping storyline combined with superb picture quality make this an essential purchase for any film lover.

Auf den Filminhalt einzugehen, erübrigt sich an dieser Stelle. Natürlich ist der Streifen Geschmackssache. Nur wer mal eben zwischendurch und neuen visuellen Eindrücken kaum aufgeschlossen SIN CITY erlebt, der wird mit dieser - ihrer Bezeichnung voll und ganz gerecht werdenden - Comicverfilmung nichts anzufangen wissen. Diejenigen aber, die nur noch selten mit die Konventionen der Fließbandproduktionen brechenden Filmen konfrontiert werden und darum umso begeisterter auf Innovationen wie z.B. SIN CITY oder MATRIX reagieren, die können durch solche Ausnahmewerke ihre Liebe zum Kino immer wieder neu entdecken. br / br /Jetzt auf Blu-ray (getestet wurde die UK-Version incl. Deutscher Synchro und Untertitel) entfaltet das beeindruckende Werk Robert Rodriguez sein ganzes Potenzial. Im Vergleich zur an sich schon sehr gelungenen DVD-Fassung erstrahlen die stilisierten Schwarz-weiß-Bilder in neuem Glanz. Kontrast und Schärfe sind eindeutig Referenz, die Details springen geradezu ins Auge und sind dem Kinoerlebnis ebenbürtig. Während der heftigen Schusswechsel bebt das Heimkino förmlich; natürlich ist der Originalton in DTS-HD 5.1 dem zwar ebenfalls druckvollen Deutschen Ton klar überlegen. br / br /Fazit: Klarer Kauftipp, das Upgrade von DVD auf Blu-ray lohnt sich!

Watched it last night on my 42in Panasonic and in the two years ive had my plasma its the best thing ive ever seen on it. The visuals are totally awesome, it truly is incredible and so is the sound. Also its packed with bonus material. br / br /I truly believe this is one of the best blu-ray discs out there at the moment, u will not regret buying it. br / br /Film 4.5 br /HD Video Quality 5 br /HD Audio Quality 5 br /Extras 5
