Customer Reviews: Showing reviews 1-5 of 24 1 2 3 4 5 Next » Righteous Kill - A Review July 9, 2009 sb 1 out of 1 found this review helpful Perhaps the expectations were too great for some, but I found this matching of the two acting heavyweights to be thought provoking, gripping, and showed some classic moments of the two displaying their finesse and skill. br / br /Yes, Pacino is looking old, and yes, neither of them have a Heat style rant or explosion of dynamic acting, but is acting all about movement and being angry? They both display the subtler points of their talents here, and do so in a manner that shows a real chemistry and warmth between the two - there are chunks of dialogue and interplay where it appears that the two are just mates indulging in banter and seems to be very natural. br / br /Oh yes, the film has a plot! Without giving too much away, try to look past where the storyline seems to be leading and be prepared for a very clever twist. br / br /Seems to have a mixed bag of ratings, but I give this film 5 stars. I certainly wasnt disappointed, this movie had me running on adrenaline from start to finish, I LOVED it and would highly recommend it! Great film May 14, 2009 Mrs. K. Maybe De Niro Pacino are older but they still make a convincing partnership in this film. It's a good thriller and it had me guessing right until the end. I loved it!! January 14, 2009 KM (England) 23 out of 31 found this review helpful Although De Niro and Pacino are back in a film together again, `Righteous Kill' was never going to be another Heat or Godfather Part 2, but it still is a very good and very exciting thriller. br / br /Criminals who have dodged prison despite being obviously guilty are found murdered in cold blood with a poem left next to their bodies. Detectives Turk (De Niro) and Rooster (Pacino) work to identify the possible connection between the recent murders and a case they believe they solved years ago. br / br /I actually found this movie very enjoyable with some excellent performances from both of the lead roles, as well as Curtis Jackson (aka 50 Cent), Carla Gugino, John Leguizamo and Donnie Whalberg. The script is very well written with some good shocks and surprises and some really good twists. br / br /The only problem I found with this film is that it felt like I started watching it halfway through as there are supposed to be 14 murders and they go through each of them but only start at number 10. It's not a massive deal, as I imagine it probably would have dragged on way too much if they had of included the first 9 but at first I was a little confused on what was going on but soon got into It once the investigation starts. br / br /Overall, if you like thrillers and don't expect it to be Heat like most disappointed viewers do, then I'm pretty sure you're going to enjoy this. 3.5/5. br / Better than some say...
