| Customer Reviews: humans suck! September 11, 2009 Fiona H. Scott (Dundee, Scotland) If found this film interesting, and although I like to think something like this could never happen, i don't think i would be surprised if it did. The film is probably quite poor, the acting is not to good, and only the last 10 minutes are truly griping. But the subject matter is intense, if you want something different, and really want to see how horible society really is (although you could just watch the news) this is worth watching.
Ok but little replay value March 16, 2009 Gary Hilton (Lancashire) I took a bit of a chance and bought this film "blind" so to speak. It was Ok but I wish I'd used my money on something else now!

br /The film is 1 and a half hours long - the first hour is filmed in a "fly-on-the-wall" documentary sort of way (i.e 'the Office') and follows Eva Mendes' character as she tries to make her dream of the ultimate television programme - Russian Roulette - into a reality. This is where the film drags - seeing Eva trying to convince the bosses of the TV station and lawyers to let her make and air the programme is quite frankly dull and whats more - we know she succeeds anyway so whats the point??!! Also Eva is terrible! she phones in her performance and doesnt convince me that she's this hard nosed, immoral executive type. Also, considering that she's being followed round by a documentary crew she looks amazing at all times 24 hours round the clock!

br /The last half hour is much better as this is the show itself, complete with cheesy game show host, over the top contestants and a tacky set. (You could almost skip the first hour and go straight to the show except in the first hour we meet the 6 contestants so you'd miss the back story of each character)
br /However once you've seen the show itself and know how it ends then I can see very little replay value.
br /
br /My advice? borrow this off a mate or rent it as it is worth a view, but like Russian roulette itself, its only going to be something you do once!
