Amazon.co.uk Review
Therersquo;s a lot thatrsquo;s fitted in to IHeroes/Irsquo; third season, a run that tried valiantly to correct some of the problems that the show encountered with its less-than-successful second series. Season three features two volumes of the IHeroes/I story, Villains and Fugitives, but once more it gets off to a bumpy start. p The early stages of IHeroes/Irsquo; third season suffer from many of the problems that plagued season two, as it tries to deal with the threads that were left behind. But the show finally finds its feet as it heads towards the back end of the series, with a genuine feeling returning that the show knows exactly which way itrsquo;s going again. Characters begin to find out more about one another, therersquo;s a bit more of a grounding in some kind of reality, and finally a narrative thrust that scoops back up many who have been left baffled by the direction that IHeroes/I has taken since its terrific maiden season. p And itrsquo;s good to see the show back on form. Even in its weaker moments, IHeroes/Irsquo; production values were sky high, and there are many genuinely impressive sequences thrown in your direction over the course of season three. But most impressive of all is the feeling that the show has dug itself out of the hole that it managed to find itself in, and courtesy of an impressive rally at its back end, season three is certainly worth picking up. Even if you might need to grit your teeth a bit in the early stages… --IJon Foster/I

5 out of 5 stars An amazing adventure.   April 3, 2009

Wow. This season of heroes just keeps getting better. With surprising new characters, shocking twists and some awesome new powers, this series promised to be better than season 2, and it has achieved that, but also so much more. br /The series starts with volume 3 'Villians', and then changes to a new plot: volume 4 'Fugitives'. It is very hard to determine which one is better, as they each have their good aspects and their bad. If this DVD only had 1 of the volumes, then I would be rating it 4 Stars. However, it has thjem both on, which means it really does not have many bad points overall.

I don't care what anyone says I think season 3 is awsome. I also think 1 and 2 are brill aswell. Volume 4 is brill so much action and really good special effects I can't wait to own this.

Season 1 started it off with a bang, which was absolutely brilliant, then it went downhill for Season 2 which ended awfully. However it was season 3 (chapters 3 and 4) which brought Heroes back up to schedule. With its fast paced action and questions answered throughout the series, it topped up to be the best season yet!

5 out of 5 stars My 1st Watched Season   April 21, 2009

I had heard from so many people that Heroes was an amazing programme, and when I heard there was a new season I planned to watch it. I hadn't watched seasons 1 2, but I had a clue on what was happening. br /So I watched the pilot and it immediately drew me in, it was an amazing show and had incredible depth and detail and mystery about it. Throughout the whole series it impressed me and some of the episodes in volume 3 were mind-blowing. Then I bought the 1st 2 series, and they were also incredible. People complain about season 3, saying it's to complicated and not like the previous 2. And yes it isn't like the previous seasons, but it's fantastic in it's own way! There's still much to like about it and it still has some classic qualities. The cliffhangers had me waiting and anticipating until it cam back on! The next part, volume 4 slowed down and is now forming into what it used to be like. I like it even more now aswell. I have just finished watching episode 23. '1961' and it was so great. One of the best episodes in the history of television. br /At the end of the day, Heroes never disappoints and is, and will always be, a fantastic show. br /Btw, it's confirmed that there will be a Season 4/5! Yes, so excited :D

5 out of 5 stars Another great season   May 24, 2009

After hearing about Heroes i decided to watch Season 1 which i was hooked to. I loved the show and watched season 2 incredibly fast (2 days) which although wasn't as good a season 1 was still amazing. Then i watched season 3 and continued to enjoy Heroes. Again i think season 1 remains the best however season 3 was a huge improvement on season 2 with geat story and cliffhangers. The season was broke into 2 volumes: volume 3 villain and volume 4 Fugitives. Volume 3 i was great with another reappearance of future Peter :D. My favourite episode from volume 3 was "I am become death" was one of the many great episodes. Also they finally got rid of Maya who along with Allehandro is my worst character. My biggest faults for volume 3 was would be Nathans story (early on as it got better later) and the story of the volume had little relevance to volume 4 as a lot of good villains were killed off. After both Peter and Hiro lost their powers Peter regained his in a thrilling finale. Volume 4 was my favourite volume since volume 1 with the story being grasping i couldn't wait until the next episode. This volume dealt with the Heroes on the run from the government which was a nice change to trying to save the world. I liked what the writers did changing peters powers as Sylar grew even more powerful than anyone could imagine. I also liked Hiro trying to deal without his powers and even when they returned they were weaker and now hes been told he can never use them again! My main critisism would be the lack of time-traveling. However with an amazing finale i loved this volume and cant wait for the next. Im especially interested what will happen to Hiro. I would definetly reccomend buying the boxset and i will myself when i raise the money :)
