Amazon.co.uk Review ILipstick Jungle/I is, if yoursquo;ve not met it before, a show about three women living their lives in the heart of Manhattan. Between them, they have to juggle their careers, families, romances and fashions, all the while generating a fair few chuckles a long the way. p Sound familiar? Unsurprisingly, ILipstick Jungle/I was firmly targeted at those looking to fill the void that ISex and the City/I left in their lives, but that does manage to undersell it slightly. Based on the book by Candace Bushnell, the showrsquo;s second season is both confident and entertaining, and deserves analysis in its own right, rather than straight comparison to its higher-profile rival. p It does have a few problems, though. Brooke Shields as movie executive Wendy struggles in the role, and that puts a greater workload on the back of Lindsay Pricersquo;s Victory and Kim Raverrsquo;s Nico. Furthermore, itrsquo;s a little inconsistent, and doesnrsquo;t quite (despite its best efforts) manage to step out of ISex and the City/Irsquo;s shadow. But those quibbles aside, ILipstick Jungle/I is still a very entertaining and under-appreciated show, and itrsquo;s hard not to get value for money out of this box set. p Sadly, this is the last season of ILipstick Jungle/I, though, given that the decision was made to axe it. Itrsquo;s not the first show thatrsquo;s deserved a better fate at the hand of television commissioners, and it wonrsquo;t be the last. But it is a cut above what its fate may lead you to believe. Recommended. --IJon Foster/I

Sad But True - No More After Season 2 May 26, 2009 Ms. Nancy Buckland (Liverpool, Merseyside United Kingdom) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
If you loved Sex and the City, you will love Lipstick Jungle. A slighty more grown up version of the tales of Carrie Bradshaw and Co, the friendships between the four main characters are strong and touching, and as always, it's worth seeing just for the handbags. It is sad that there will be no third season - I am sure there are lots of disappointed fans out there like me. Still, enjoy this season in all its glory. All the leads give great performances but Kim Raver really shines. I hope to see her on screen again soon.
Keep it going! July 17, 2009 missymerc (uk) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love this show and watched the whole box set in a couple of days, which i need to stop doing because now i am left without and the witty humor and emotional turmoil you get catchup with when watching the lives of the characters in the show. It's well acted as always with an excellent cast plus a couple of new characters. (Actors from Las Vegas make an appearance in this season).
br /I am not going to spoil the plots for any of the episodes but if you want to know what happens between Victory and Joe, or if Nico was the only one having an affair then you'll need to watch it. If you haven't seen the first season take a look at that first then you'll be fully aware of all the ups and downs in the characters lives. It's just a shame that season 3 is the last one.
LIPSTICK AT ITS BEST July 14, 2009 B. I. Thomas (wales uk) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
LOVE THIS PROGRAMME AM HIGHTLY ADDICTED HAVE SEASON ONE AND TWO IF YOU LIKED SEX AND THE CITY YOU WILL LOVE THIS.
Sad Ending July 30, 2009 Mark Harrison (Southampton, UK) Shame that this series came to somethin of an abrupt end as it managed to entertain my wife for a number of damp Summer evenings. An entertaining series that was apparently perked up with the appearances of Andrew McCarthy - but on that I will have to take her word !!!
