| Customer Reviews: MARY WILSON DVD September 12, 2009 B. K. L. Johns Bought as a present for someone and they haven't stopped watching it yet seems to be very good but am hoping the dvd wears out soon lol
Supreme Surprises October 18, 2009 Quinny (England) I really enjoyed this DVD. Though Miss Wilson's versions of her own hits were unfamiliar, many have grown on me to the point were I can watch and enjoy another member of the legendary great group displaying the charisma with flows through every Motown artist. The performance is about much more than old Supremes hits. Mary displays a versatile programme which includes ballads and blues songs, balanced with dynamic versions of Robert Palmer's "Bad Case of Loving You", The Stones "Satisfaction" and "Brown Sugar" and Sting's "Fields of Gold" She also includes some of her own recordings, including the gritty "Walk The Line" and her hip-hop 1995 single "U". Though for me, the highlight was her superb performance of the ballad "One Night With You", check out the incredible note at the end of this song! I think it is a well-balanced show, and would recommend viewers to look beyond the Supremes, and enjoy an entertaining performance.
second best August 29, 2009 K. Greensmith (nottingham) watching this dvd you cant help but compare this show to a diana show. mary has the big hair and similare clothes to diana but everything looks cheap.she does sound better on ballads than uptempo songs but you can tell why she was not lead singer of the supremes. not a bad show but mary lacks the money and class of diana.
