Amazon.co.uk Review
Therersquo;s a lot thatrsquo;s fitted in to IHeroes/Irsquo; third season, a run that tried valiantly to correct some of the problems that the show encountered with its less-than-successful second series. Season three features two volumes of the IHeroes/I story, Villains and Fugitives, but once more it gets off to a bumpy start. p The early stages of IHeroes/Irsquo; third season suffer from many of the problems that plagued season two, as it tries to deal with the threads that were left behind. But the show finally finds its feet as it heads towards the back end of the series, with a genuine feeling returning that the show knows exactly which way itrsquo;s going again. Characters begin to find out more about one another, therersquo;s a bit more of a grounding in some kind of reality, and finally a narrative thrust that scoops back up many who have been left baffled by the direction that IHeroes/I has taken since its terrific maiden season. p And itrsquo;s good to see the show back on form. Even in its weaker moments, IHeroes/Irsquo; production values were sky high, and there are many genuinely impressive sequences thrown in your direction over the course of season three. But most impressive of all is the feeling that the show has dug itself out of the hole that it managed to find itself in, and courtesy of an impressive rally at its back end, season three is certainly worth picking up. Even if you might need to grit your teeth a bit in the early stages… --IJon Foster/I

5 out of 5 stars A Grand Improvement over Season 2   October 16, 2009

Everyone remembers Season One - it was good because it was dark and mysterious and very real-world. I think that's why Season Two didn't hold up - it had that clean, bright, "PG-13" feel to it. I mean, in Season One, the main characters were an internet stripper and a heroin addicit! br / br /Season Three goes back to that good old, more mature feel - and it works. br /The season is split into two volumes - "Villains" is the story of 12 murderous Company captives breaking out, with someone believed dead trying to artificially create powers; br /and "Fugitives" - The heroes have been betrayed to the government and are forced underground as fugitives, being hunted by Homeland Security. br / br /The story moves along at a much faster pace - a vast improvement over Season Two which took 7 episodes to start the plot rolling! Lots of new cast members are very fun to watch: Zeljko Ivanek is affably evil as hero-hunter "Emile Danko"; Robert Foster as the back-from-the-dead-dad "Arthur Petrelli"; Daphne Millbrook, Flint, Jesse, Knox and Usutu are all great new characters - even some much-loved old faced return, like Linderman and Meredith Gordon (Claire's bio-mum). br / br /Heroes Season Three is definetly worth buying.

I thought season 2 looked and sounded wonderful on Blu Ray but wasn't quite as good as a programme as season 1. This however is Heroes back to its best, a full 25 episodes and the transfer is outstanding! Buy it today!!
