5 out of 5 stars Superb ...   August 4, 2009

This excellent dvd captures a superb concert performance from Clapton and Winwood for those of us who were not fortunate enough to be there in person. The picture and sound quality are up to the usual high standards and I found no problem with this, contrary to other reviewers. br /Likewise the very short interview clips between songs now and then did nothing to detract from the concert for me personally and their memories were quite entertaining. br /Too many highlights to list them all, but After Midnight, Pearly Queen and Double Trouble stand out. br /All in all a superb dvd well worth the price.

5 out of 5 stars A Really Great DVD   September 16, 2009

As one of the older folk on the planet I grew up listening to Cream, Hendrix, Blind Faith, Traffic etc. This album was a fantastic choice of music from that era and the musicianship, as one would expect from a Clapton/Winwood collaboration, was just perfect. I was enthralled from start to finish and really enjoyed the show. It is definitely in the favourites part of my collection.

5 out of 5 stars two of the best   November 3, 2009

at last a breath of fresh air to the music world and it has to come from two of the older guys.i have never ever seen or heard eric clapton play better in his life .winwoods great vocals and keyboards combine brilliantly with claptons guitar .plus voodoo chile long version never ever heard it played by any other artist .winwood was on the original version in 1968.it's an absolute masterpiece this one .the sooner it comes out over here the better get it bought it's an absolute classic dvd.

What a concert - I wish I had been there. Eric is playing the best he ever has and Steve was brilliant

4 out of 5 stars Could Have Been So Much Better   May 22, 2009

I was so looking forward to this DVD,having already seen an unofficial release of the concert. The music is fantastic,Clapton and Winwood on top form throughout, the three piece band with them are spot on.The choice of music is just perfect,so you ask why only the four stars for it? What's the disappointment ,well it's marred by the return to a studio for either EC or SW to talk some more about the songs or something of the past between each song,,it just ruins the run of the concert. One of the best songs of the set was what was on the night the second song in J J Cale's 'Low Down',here omitted from the main concert set and stuck as a bonus on the second disc of extras.Take the annoying talk out, return it to it's proper place in the set and it's a wonderful moment.I fail to see the reasoning in this I must admit where this chat could have been put into the bonus items and not interrupting the main concert film.I could understand this on the Crossroads set a little as it was over two days, but this is really not wanted,as it ruins as I've said the flow and feel of what was a fabulous trio of gigs.
