Customer Reviews:
5 out of 5 stars Charming and quirky   May 11, 2009

A brilliant little gem of a film, with a superb cast. Matthew Broderick is just amazing as Cooper and Alan Alda is great as uncle Rollie. br /I bought this film from the US and have watched it many times. br /Sweet and touching with just a little quirkyness.

3 out of 5 stars managed to finish watching it.   November 4, 2009

Not the best film I've seen. It seemed as if it would get more exciting than it did. I wouldn't recommend it.

3 out of 5 stars Boring.   November 10, 2009
Edna Little (Stockport, England.)
I wanted to like this movie, as it stared Alan Alda and Matthew Broderick. But the fact is it is just so boring. br /The trailer makes it look much better than it actually is. There is in fact very little story at all. That^s the trouble. And some of the other minor characters are absurd or ridiculous. br /It^s certainly not a comedy, more a light drama. br /(Broderick) After an accident in which he had concussion, he now finds it hard to remember some things. He goes to visit his going senile old uncle (Alda). Who has a very valuable old collectors baseball card that he wants to sell. With the money from it he can stay in his own home rather than be forced to go into a retirement home by his sister. br /The entire film now is him selling this card at a trade fare. He wants to sell it as quickly as possible for any small amount even though it^s worth vastly more. A couple of traders haggle over it. You want to keep pushing the fast forward button just to get on with the story, it moves so slow. br /It^s watchable, but that^s it.
