A modern classic!!! July 21, 2009 Mr. S. Kumar (London) 21 out of 29 found this review helpful
I saw this at the Belgian film festival in April 2009 and have been hooked ever since. Odd how no one really thought of the wealth of situations that zombie Nazi's lends itself to before. Anyway, the deadpan humour is divine as are the non-stop action/chase scenes. Most of all, the colour contrast of the lumpy, boiling red blood strewn against virginal snow is most pleasing on the eye. The kind of film you watch over and over and over again and then bore everyone you know about...
I liked this as much as Shaun of the Dead August 15, 2009 ShawnDuHast (Surrey United Kingdom) 10 out of 16 found this review helpful
Have just watched it... twice.
br /I really liked it.
br /Sound and picture is excellent. (Norsk dts)
br /The comedy, and there's not lots, is in the vein of Shaun of the Dead.
br /It's not too silly or knowingly winking at the camera but it's not a full on serious horror film either.
br /Acting is good and it's very well photographed - it does not look or sound like a budget horror film.
br /Gore when it starts is good and lots of it, including a chainsaw scene which The Evil Dead only hinted at.
br /
br /Also, and this must be a first, this english cover is the best so far, the Norwegian one makes it look like a Carry On film and the French one although good features a scene that does not actually appear in the film.
I really enjoyed this - like Shaun of the Dead! August 13, 2009 ShawnDuHast (Surrey United Kingdom) 7 out of 11 found this review helpful

EIN! ZWEI! DIE! October 9, 2009 Onona (London, UK) 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
Anyone expecting a serious, hardcore zombie film (as is evident from all the one star reviews, with the exception of the one person who felt it necessary to rate it one star because apparently reading subtitles is some kind of horribly painful experience) should avoid this. This film is for fans of early Raimi stuff, like the Evil Dead. It's campy, it's ridiculous, it's downright hilarious. I absolutely loved it, and if you like cheesy, over the top B films, you'll love Dead Snow too.
stunning October 12, 2009 sean paul mccann (ireland) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
norway are far from the leading country in producing films but they have pulled this one out of the air and its first class, this is what i have been waiting for ,an original feeling horror with laughs, this film may not have been intended to cause belly laughs but it hits the nail on many levels.
br /The idea is simple, friends go to cabin and hell erupts but its the way the film gives new strengths to the zombies, they are fast, they are strong and they are organised, they take orders from a nazi general,he actually is capable of speaking,i loved it,it was a cut above.
br /For those who crave blood then you will find it here, for those who like a twisted death then you may tick that box also, this is fantastic stuff, along with drag me to hell this one of 2009s finest horror movies.
