George stuns us all with a showcase for a voice reaching new highs. Listening to the rockier tracks you wouldn't konw it was him, but the ballads reveals THAT voice in all it's glory. The album is autobiographical, each song sang with such meaning. 'Sad' will make you want to rock, 'I'l Adore' will almost certainly make you cry and in whole the album will certainly make you sit up and listen. Sit back and enjoy, you WON'T be dissappointed!

a smack in the face for critics. April 29, 2008 Stutones (North Wales.) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Released smack bang in the middle of the Oasis / Blur era, and the boy done good yet again!! A different approach to the usual Boy George stuff, this is rough, rock, indie - and heavy!! Included 3 hits here Fun Time, Il Adore and Same Thing In Reverse, and although Sad, Satan's Butterfly Ball and Unfinished Business were massive in gay bars all over the country, this cd should have put Boy George back on the top of the charts, believe it or not if you were into the indie movement you are gonna love this cd. Boy George's best solo album yet! April 29, 2001 Matthew Lindsell (Milton Keynes, England) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This album is a must have for every fan of Boy George and Culture Club! From the excellent opening track, Funtime, right through to the end this album is superbly performed. A hard-hitting mix of rock, pop and ear-glamour, Cheapness and Beauty is the voice of a more confident, mature and intelligent George. Stand-out tracks include Same Thing In Reverse, Cheapness and Beauty, Satan's Butterfly Ball and If I Could Fly, which has to be one of the most powerful songs in this man's colourful career! It may not have made such an impact on the charts, but this album should be ranked as a solo masterpiece in every way! Buy it today!
