Best of the solos. February 18, 2001 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
Paul's solo album has always been my favourite of the four 1978 KISS solo releases. (Followed by Peter's, Gene's and Ace's, as far as I'm concerned.) There's something truly special about this superb album, for it features two of the best songs he's ever written (and he's written quite a few masterpieces in his career); Tonight You Belong To Me and Take Me Away (Together As One). If you're a rock fan, you owe it to yourself to have this CD in your collection, if only to hear these two brilliant semi-ballads. -They've haunted me for more than 20 years, and they're likely to have the same effect on you. There are a couple of straight rockers as well, like Move On and It's Alright, and a very beautiful soft ballad with strings your mum and sister will enjoy the most; Hold Me, Touch Me. All KISS fans have this album, now it's time for the rest of the world to discover its brilliance.
Great Album October 31, 2003 Sean Murphy (Ireland) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is a fantastic album.Every track is a winner.Easily the best of all the solo albums. If you are looking for a timeless slice of classic hard rock then this is the record to buy. After 25years it still rocks
SUPER STAR December 22, 2008 mr blackwell (scotland) whilst Ace's disc was a surprise then Pauls was totally expected, long held as kiss's leader, paul turns in a stunning album, like Ace's this is also one of the best albums of 1978.Like a prev revewier states this is better than most Kiss albums, probably because he didnt have to worry about band politics, but it shows who the heart beat of kiss was. This album clearly demonstrated that if kiss folded then paul was destined to carry on,hard to believe nearly 30 years elapsed before another solo album, buy now you wont be dissapointed.
Pure excellence January 22, 2009 Angel Jane (Scotland) This is a masterpiece, if you know rock music then you should definately own this album, trust me...
Paul Stanley May 29, 2009 D. Willoughby (UK) This is without doubt the best of the bands solo albums, maybe because Paul is the lead vocalist for Kiss,I just think this album has it all, great songs, great production,it never ages!
