| Customer Reviews: Roger Daltrey god as MC.Vicar April 18, 2005 .Richard (england) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
this soundtrack to the fantastic film doesn't disappoint usually album soundtracks are full of cast off fillers but this album has amazing songs filled with passion vengance to fill your head until sometime next week "bitter and twisted", "just a dream away", "free me", "my time is gonna come" all these songs have hard rocking drum beat, excellent guitar and blistering vocals from the mouth of Roger Daltrey. "bitter and twisted" has some really venomace lyrics and the rest of the lyrics on this album are from the heart and well thought out. and the production of this album is excellent.
Very Townshend October 25, 2001 kevin-resa@clubi.ie (Dublin, Ireland) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I bought this album back in 1980 after watching the movie and have awaited its return on CD to replace a well worn LP.I look forward to a fresh recording.brAll though the sound track was not written by Townshend it is very much The Who.brDaltry's voice impeccable as usual.brThe tracks follow the storyline to the latter.brVery Townshend and The Who and I love it.
Look at Streaky go April 16, 2002 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
Excellent soundtrack album, the sound is so crisp on CD.brI remember seeing this album on vinyl around 15 years ago at a record fair and I was gutted I didnt buy it there and then, when I saw it here on CD, I bought it immeadiatly.brBrilliant tunes from the true Brit Pop sound The Who. Although the whole album is excellent the tracks that stand out for me are the two instrumental escape tracks, the screaming Roger Daltrey track Free Me, the more mellow Waiting for friend and the oustanding Mcvicar track. As a whole I give this CD 10 out of 10 for 10 brilliant tunes and 10 out of 10 for superb sound quality, So buy it now, crank up your amp and watch Streaky go!!!
Can't stop listening to it July 9, 2009 Dg Freeman (UK) The music from this soundtrack is as good as watching the film...Roger Daltrey, his voice and his music are out of this world
cant get better than the who September 1, 2009 Kaine Stuart like i say you cant get better than the who and this CD is no different, there are a few less know tracks on this cd but never the less contain that distinctive who sound that you cant get from any other band
