The former Florida karaoke girl hit platinum first time round with ITen Thousand Angels/I (which included the coy single "Guys Do It all The Time"), and this second effort sees her reveal another body of songs about the romantic and sexual dilemmas of young women. Dropping much of the youthful sass and novelty elements of her debut-it is meant to be a deeper, more mature effort--McCready has chosen 11 songs she hopes will connect her to the listener. Some will answer the call, but for the most part McCready's second album doesn't stand out from any of Nashville's Twenty-somethings female roster. The singles "What If I Do" and "Romeo" are unconvincing Nashville assembly line songs, as is her cover of Kim Richey's beautiful "You'll Never Know", but her strong vocal style gets a good airing throughout--especially on the mid-tempo "This Is Me" and "Long, Long Time", a weepy made famous by Linda Ronstadt. --iTim Perry/i

i really enjoyed this cd especially the song you ll never know she sings about more or less lost loves and i think alot of people can relate to that i know i do i play that song over and over again it is so true.

I thought I would follow up on the last review seeing as there is only one, to give potential customers all the more chance to realise how good this CD is!
br /I bought this disc only knowing one of the songs ('Oh Romeo' which is a great track in itself), so although taking a risk, I was certainly not disappointed!! I love all of the songs on here, and some of my main favourites are 'Cross Against The Moon', 'Oh Romeo', 'You'll Never Know' (a very catchy song) and the amazing 'Long, Long Time' which is such a heartfelt track with a great melody. Mindy's voice is one in a million.
br /Personally, I think this is her best album. Definitely recommended!
