Amazon.co.uk Review
While hardly a masterpiece on the order of "Say You'll Be There", the former Ginger Spice's step into the solo arena does an acceptable job of refashioning her into a "grownup" diva. Generally underdeveloped material doesn't help but the thin-voiced Halliwell acquits herself well enough on some pop-funk numbers and when tweaking the sort of 60s high camp of which Robbie Williams is so fond--especially on saucy single "Look At Me". i--Rickey Wright/i

5 out of 5 stars Three Cheers for Geri!   November 15, 2000

I love this album. After being a closet Spice Girls fan, I was unsure that Geri would succeed on her own, as a solo artist. I don't know why I had those doubts! Geri is running circles around other female artists of the same genre! I love the funky Look At Me, the fiesty Bag It Up, the sentimental Lift Me Up, the Monroe-esque Goodnight Kiss, the brilliant Mi Chico Latino and the tongue-in-cheek You're In A Bubble. Not an album by platform-wearing, girl-power screaming Ginger Spice, but by a mature, dedicated and talented Geri Halliwell. Love it!

After being in the spice girls she already had 10 number ones under her belt and now has two more from her first album, also contains the best song (Well i think) Look at me. ginger is still the best.

5 out of 5 stars Geri's Back!!   July 23, 2003

It was clear to see that after the shocking departure of Geri Halliwell from the Spice Girls that, the brain and the driving force that is miss Geri herself, had been very cleverly cunning indeed. Working behind the scenes, she'd ben creating what is this rather brilliant album we all know as Schizophonic (meaning "Spilt Sounds") And the title explains all. The songs on the album are very self thought related. 'Look At Me' is a great catchy pop tune, basically geri goes mad on the vocals and its an expression of opinion on her part. More great tracks include the tuneful 'Lift Me Up' and the sexy spanish style 'Mi Chico Latino', both great in their own right and both became no.1 singles. Two other great tracks that were never released as singles are, the fantastic 'Goodnight Kiss' with its great sexy, saxaphone sounds and 40's/50's feel to it, but with a great memorable tune that'll keep goin round and round in your head (geris vocals sound great on this, very cigarettes and alchahol), and the "upbeat" ballad 'Someone's Watching Over Me', apparantly written about Geri's dead father, it has a great swingy beat and tune that is so catchy and great vocals. Good tracks: 9/10 Worst track: 'You're In A Bubble'. Overall rating: Great catchy songs with variation in styles and sound to them, a little "madonna-esque" in some tracks, this album clearly shows Geri's great imaginative song-writing abilities and her talent in making great catchy pop tunes! A great listen! 10/10

5 out of 5 stars Buy this NOW!!!!!!   November 29, 1999

This is an excellent album by Geri. Not a Spice Girls fan, I thought I'd give this album a spin, expecting at least a few dud tracks. Not so. I was entralled throughout. There are songs that make you cry and once that make you want to bop. A brilliant collection of future smash hits for Geri. One warning though. If you don't like Geri's voice, then this is NOT for you. An all round fab first timer for solo Ginger Spice!!!!!!

5 out of 5 stars So much better than the Spice Girls   May 13, 2000

I wasn't sure whether i'd like this album but i decided to buy it and i'm so glad i did! This album shows that Geri is so much more talented than the other Spice Girls. My favourite tracks are Walkaway and You're In A Bubble and every song shows what a talented songwriter she is. This album is just amazing and if you don't have a copy, i recommend you buy one now!
