Customer Reviews:
5 out of 5 stars Intelligent and catchy POP!   June 21, 2007

This is a great album, pop music at it's very best. Take a listen to the playful "My Place" (featuring Terry Hall on vocals), the very sensitive "Jack of all trades" (Dave Stewart cleverly sums up his life in 5 minutes) or the single "Happy to be here" with a chorus you can't get out of your head once you've heard it. And the production is - as always - when Dave's in charge: LUSH.

4 out of 5 stars This is a good album   January 12, 2006

I#x27;m not particularly knowledgeable about the Eurythmics, but had occasionally checked out their material. Until I heard this album I was of the opinion that after they split, Annie Lennox made _Diva_ which I consider a pop classic, while the music I#x27;d heard from Dave Stewart left much less of an impression on me. But recently I was listing to sound samples online and heard 30 second snippets from this album. The songs actually sounded pretty good so I took a punt and bought it. And all in all it#x27;s pretty good. The lyrics don#x27;t really break new ground and DS isn#x27;t a standout lead vocalist. But the songs are well written and quite a number stick in your head quite effectively. So all in all, not a classic, but a good album. But why no reviews on Amazon? I would have thought at least that the Eurythmics fans would have bought it and reviewed it. Perhaps if DS had released this as his first album after Eurythmics split it would have been noticed far more than it was.pIn summary, this is a pop album full of catchy songs with their own style. I#x27;m not an Eurythmics completist, I bought it on its own merits.
