Amazon.co.uk Review
It's appropriate that iDestination Anywhere/i is an album by Bon Jovi the solo artist as opposed to Bon Jovi the band. For while it contains the requisite number of catchy tunes and the right amount of romantic drama, it varies from the band's output in two important ways. First, much of the material on iDestination Anywhere/i is more low-key than the band's high-octane anthems, offering intimacy, if not exactly introspection, from Jon Bon Jovi himself. Too, there's an experimental edge to the music, with sound samples, programmed drums, and keyboard washes that are as distant from the group's albums as California is from New Jersey. Eurythmic Dave Stewart, ex-Hooters Rob Hyman and Eric Bazilian, and perennial hit maker Desmond Child kick in some help on "Queen of New Orleans", "Midnight in Chelsea", and "Ugly". The album-closing "August 7, 4:15", meanwhile, is a dramatic rocker about the murder of Bon Jovi's manager's child. Overall, iDestination Anywhere/i is a solid effort, with Bon Jovi flexing some of the same muscles he's building with his budding acting career. i--Daniel Durchholz /i

5 out of 5 stars Destination Anywhere, name the place and i'll be there!   July 3, 2000

D.A is far removed from the Bon Jovi sound, but this ain't a bad thing! I have this album for just over three years now and I am still playing it regularly! Jon Bon Jovi has transceded his amazing talent's again with this record and although it wasn't a massive hit in his native U.S, it certainly won the hearts of the European and Asian fans. Outstanding tracks in my opinion are the sultry Queen of New Orleans , the introspective Every Word and Midnight in Chelsea, the rousing It's just me, and the poignant August 7th. The title track is pretty damn good too and will leave you wanting to ride off into the Sunset! All in all, a brilliant collection of heartfelt songs from the rock god who never fails to impress!

I've only recently got into the excellent Bon Jovi and when a friend said buy Destination Anywhere I thought "Ugh.A solo album.Gross." I was SO wrong. The song writing is excellent and just the 'feel good' factor you have when listening to the title track is worth buying the album for. My favourite song is 'Midnight In Chelsea' and if you play it late at night when you can't sleep it sends shivers down your spine. brCome on Jon! Do another studio album!

OK, so I think Bon Jovi are a great band, so I'm biased, but when someone out of your favourite band records a solo album like this, you wonder if the band can record an album as good. Each track works, and remains great

Extremely dark and all the songs are full of meaning (Recommended songs- ITS JUST ME, LEARNING HOW TO FALL and AUGUST 7TH- this song will defiently chill you!!!) Jon shows hes got true talents and it is badly underrated although it seemed to do better in the UK than in the US (Could be due to MIDNIGHT IN CHELSEA which was written whilst he was starring in the London-based film THE LEADING MAN!!)pGet out there an buy it!!!

I really like this album. Being a big Bon Jovi fan (but not of their last three albums) i had to get this as soon as it came out. Every song on this album is great and displays some great song writing, it really is a credit to Mr Bon Jovi. Just wish the bands recent efforts could be half as good as this. You get a real sense that this album comes from the heart and that there was a little experimenting going on also, it has a great sound to it, a real nice edge!!!! Highly recommend... BUY NOW!
