5 out of 5 stars Bussa bus!   January 28, 2004

These days, Busta Rhymes is a pants dropping, airplane-toilet-disappearing-into sell out, but prior to this he was one of the greatest things in rap music. Well actually, prior to this he went a little crazy around the turn of the century and had the whole Y2K bug thing dropped like he predicted, we would be all living in a crazy Mad-Max style post-apoloyptic world and rather than using it to type this review, I would probably have fashioned my PC into some kind of crude weapon, or rudimentary cooking pot. brAnyway, prior to THAT, Busta Rhymes was busy making incredible music like this. Leaning towards the "gangsta" side of hip-hop, this album is stuffed full of phat beats and the kind of rhymes that buzz round in your head all day. The whole Flipmode squad are there, chucking in their twopenneth as and when, and this mixture of MC's, combined with the ranges of styles on show makes for some appealing variety. Tunes range from hardcore, to stoned and laid back, to downright funky - on hearing the rasping bass opener on "Rhymes Galore" I would defy any man, woman or beast to not stop whatever they were doing and dance like a crazed, double-jointed jellyfish. Slick production, full of testosterone, yet with enough of Bussa's trademark cheek to prevent things becoming unpleasant, it would be rude to claim to like hip-hop and not own this album.

This is one of the less heard of albums by busta, but easily one of the greatest.A work of art is created in One ft. Erykah Badu, the Flipmode Squad blow up the spot, and Busta`s masterpiece Put your hands where my eyes can see secures this album as one of the greatest of 2000.

5 out of 5 stars By far his best piece of art   May 18, 2002

I am proud to say that i own all of busta's albums but this is my first and most listened to album. Alot of the songs are Busta mixed with other rappers such as Mase, Flipmode squad, jamal, rampage and I think that this adds more Variety of style to the album. Its alot more hardcore than his other albums and it has some hilarious intros to the songs. This album also contains A VERY VERY VERY hight amount of cursing and swearing (whcih all true busta fans loveee)

5 out of 5 stars missed out on this one first time round   March 3, 2004

this busta album passed me by, just got hold of it. absolutely fantastic. especially 'so hardcore'. this man has to be one of the most consistently original artists of the 90's and beyondpi'm not sure about busta selling out. i say good luck to him... lets just hope he can juggle that, and keep it like this at the same timepsome great humour on here, especially the old guy cursing away during the intro, completely ott and excellent. sounds like he had to put his false teeth in first! and i blow you etc... very funny, as usual. and of course, brilliant beats.
