The Weber Concertos are beginning to get the coverage they deserve, and these versions are delightful, as well as in first-class recorded sound. Everything works well, and I have no hesitation in recommending this version to all Weber-lovers. I miss that tiny extra frisson that Benny Goodman brought to them in his pioneering Chicago versions (now deleted, but contact me on prterry@terrt.fsnet.co.uk for details of copies), but of course he didn't record the Concertino or the Spohr, another composer beginning to receive his full due.
