Amazon.co.uk Review As far as the notion of the caveat emptor goes, it's hard to beat what's imprinted right on the IMethods Of Mayhem/I CD. "Warning: this CD is nothing but worthless plastic unless played loud as fuck...." OK then. Scenario: Tommy Lee, tattooed ex-Metalhead, dives headfirst into the not-so-brave or new world of white-rap road rage and comes up with a pretty smoking CD--even with the volume not cranked up to 11. Joining forces with Lil' Kim, Kid Rock, Snoop Dogg andLimp Bizkit, Lee kicks out the jams with a thundering hammer-of-the-B-boy-gods glee. With tracks like "Crash" and "Hypocritical", IMethods Of Mayhem/I is loud, snotty and kinda cool. Even for those of us way too damn old and female to actually play the thing around the house.I--Amy Linden/I

| Customer Reviews: A work of art. February 28, 2000 Marlene Florence (Edinburgh, Midlothian United Kingdom) Lock up your grandmothers but this is STUNNING! Tommy Lee (and some big name guests) deliver a highly polished, outstanding performance in a perfect combination of heavy metal and rap.Never having heard the 'Methods' before, I bought this after hearing just one track and it didn't disappoint. It really is a work of art.
A truly awesome metal/rap crossover record March 21, 2000 Tommy Lee has truly buried his dodgy past with this collection of some of the best rap and metal collaborations I've ever heard.pThe list of appearences is impressive enough (Snoop Dogg, L'il Kim, Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit, to name but a few) but when you hear how it all fits in to create a noisey tapestry of ecclecticism, it is hard not to be bowled over.p'Methods Of Mayhem'succeeds as a great record in that Tommy has avoided the cringeworthy elements that usually rear their ugly heads on albums of with such a mix of genres. You don't get the impression that Tommy merely likes the sort of music he is making on this album, rather that he is aware of its limitations and how it can be used successfully and with most impact.pIt seems that Tommy has finally realised that he is worth more than Motley Crue. Stick to what you're good at, I say...
Wicked August 26, 2000 suthe@breathemail.net (UK) One of the best abums I've heard all year! took a bit of time to get into it, but once youre there not a lot can beat it! Tommy Lee has definitely not grown up yet and can still knock out some decent tunes. The first song is absoultely wicked.
