5 out of 5 stars Conspiring brilliance.   December 18, 2000

Not many albums can affect me as much as Squire Sherwood's Conspiracy has done since I bought it. As first glance I will admit it seems to be just a compilation of tracks lifted from different sources Euphoria, Union and YesYears to name a few. But if you listen to the album more closely it begins to grow on you as an indipendent work of art. Each track has it's own life to it and in my opinion these original songs contained here are better than the versions found on other albums. For example, The More We Live here is much better than the version found on Union. I couldn't sing this albums prases enough, my only complaint is that my favourite song from this album Wish I Knew is not listed and goes on as an untitled bonus track. In my opinion, Conspiracy is one of the best solo projects from all of the memebers of Yes and it will take a lot of beating.

2 out of 5 stars One incredible track, not a lot else!   September 10, 2000

Most of the album is uninspired - as if all the energy had been sucked out. The More We Live is better on Union, Love Conquers All better on YesYears. However Violet Purple Rose is possibly the best track from anything Yessy in years. Steve Stevens is guest guitarist - what a difference! Make sure you hear that track.
