5 out of 5 stars Enjoying twenty-four hours with each other.   October 17, 2001

It's a shame these girls break up. I never liked girl groups but All Saints was a different kind of group. brMelanie sure is coming back and definitly with this song coming back strong. This song is really a kind of lounging and cooling down emotions. Even the video gives a relaxing and cooling vibe. This song is great, simple and the voice off Melanie is a good combination with the guitar. I hope she will publish her own music.

5 out of 5 stars Mel Blatt does latest Artful Dodger song justice. Brilliant!   September 2, 2001

It takes about four listens to the latest collaboration from the Artful Dodger to decide whether you like or dislike the continuous rhthym and their choice in vocals. At least that's how long it took me to confirm that the this RB number featuring the Allsaint with an attitude Mel Blatt was a success. The song takes on a different approach to past Artful Dodger records such as 'Rewind' and 'Movin too Fast', the style reminds me more of the solo efforts on the Craig David 'Born To Do It' cd, however this is not a bad thing. The song is certainly catchy and the kind u turn on the radio and hope will be played. Attitudes aside it's good to see Mel Blatt back in the spotlight, her voice is distinguishable from her 3 fellow band (ex-band!) members and is a good choice for the style of the song. Just a shame that the Artful Dodger reckon this is their last track, however at least their conclusion gets a thumbs up! From me at least anyway!

5 out of 5 stars Silky-smooth late Summer smash.   September 4, 2001
I am not normally a fan of ex-All Sainter Melanie Blatt's vocals. However her collaboration on 24-7 with Artful Dodger, just may be the best thing she has ever done. Her voice sounds very seductive on this her first single since the demise of her group. Her distinctive vocals are not lost in a fog of studio-induced manipulation (Posh take note!), but serve only to enhance the track. Artful Dodger have brought out the best in Blatt, and this is a very impressive solo debut. If this is a taste of things to come, then the future is very bright indeed for Ms Blatt.pThe song is classic AD and demonstrates just what they do best. From the first cool opening bars, this track just keeps getting better. The Latin flavoured guitar work is very remincent of AD's last single Think About Me, which featured Michelle Escoffery. It is Escoffrey who co-wrote Twenty-four Seven, and there is no doubt that the lady has a real flair for penning cool and sophisticated floor fillers. More importantly, 24-7 serves as a further reminder the British Rn'B has finally found it's voice and come into it's own.

If you love Artful Dodger or/and their song 'Movin To Fast' with Romina Johnson ,you'll love this .It's a bit more laid back and it has a bit more of a passionate - slowish feel to it and it's different to the other singles but it's still good .The Grant Nelson Mix is a bit slower , and has more of a great hiphop feel to it .And for those of you who criticise this song for not being the typical 'garage' genre there is the great Dub-A-Holics Dub ,which may be a dub but still great to groove to in the normal Artful Dodger way .

4 out of 5 stars Chilled Autumn Grooves   September 4, 2001
Another supurb release from the producers, with the sleek and sensuous vocals of Melanie Blatt. The crisp production shows again with classy acoustic guitars. This is track heralds the dawn of the forthcoming season, with a rythmical track taking us into the from the beaches of San Antonio and Ayia Napa into the autumn. Another cracker form the gang!
